The Luxembourg Red Cross stated that current blood supplies are at a very low level and insufficient to meet hospital demand, calling on everyone who wishes to help patients in need to donate blood. On May 8, following an urgent appeal from the Luxembourg Red Cross, Grand Duchess Stéphanie went to the Blood Transfusion Center on Joseph II Street to donate blood.

  3. Very good! Prince Carl Philip of Sweden donates blood as well! Very good example. All of us that are willing to receive blood, should also donate if our health allows. This is casual and well dressed, just what the visit calls for!

What a wonderful endeavour! Giving blood is so important and I'm so happy to see her do this. Her clothing is perfect for the purpose, and therefore need not attract any critical comment.

@"Her clothing is perfect for the purpose, and therefore need not attract any critical comment." sorry Anon 9:134, but this is a ridiculously moralizing comment, dripping from intolerance against everyone who thinks otherwise. We criticize all the time, independetly of the clothing is good for the purpose or not. Please be so kind and stick to the topic of this blog. Which is: fashion ...

Thank you for your sweet response Anon 20:38 Here's a thought for you to chew: You do you, and I'll do me, which for my part, is sometimes critiquing fashion in context with purpose, however "ridiculously moralizing" ("dripping with intolerance???? really?) or not. Cheers.

      Totally agree Anon 9:13 .

I think 20:38 must have been having a bad day. Possibly “dripping from intolerance” or recovering from a bout of “ridiculous moralisation”.

You handled her odd outburst beautifully.

@09:13 and 10:52: I did recover, my politeness was absent for a moment, sorry. @ 09:13: you say "you do you" - yes please, any time! but then, please really do *you* instead of telling *us*, what we are not supposed to do (criticize outfit worn at worthy occasion). Thank you!

Brava GDS highlighting this much needed cause. Fashion wise, I much prefer her in the V neck tops like this, it suits her shape.
The bold pop of color of the blouce lifts the look.

Nice colorful top and great cause. I've never seen a royal donate before.

Maybe they do it but not in public. Many royals do a lot of things for the good cause, sometimes in public but also incognito.

This look is great. I own a jersey top with the same hem design, and it holds its shape beautifully too. Nice choice. Lyra
