On May 12, 2026, Empress Masako, together with Princess Kiko, Princess Hanako, Princess Nobuko, and Princess Hisako, attended the National Red Cross Convention of the Japanese Red Cross Society at the Meiji Jingu Kaikan in Shibuya, Tokyo. Empress Masako serves as Honorary President of the Japanese Red Cross Society (JRCS).
During the ceremony, Noriko Tomabechi, a nurse who was dispatched as the leader of an emergency response team following the earthquake in Myanmar in March of last year, spoke about the relief efforts and her support for local medical teams.

All the ladies look perfect, even sitting exactly the same distance apart. The suits all have a unique feature such as matching embellishment on the hat. So meticulously tailored, I am in awe.
ReplyDeleteSo elegant! A pleasure to see these pics
ReplyDeleteElégantes toutes ces dames même si je préfère Masako au tailleur blanc dont le liseré bleu-marine se retrouve jusque dans son chapeau !
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely and classy lady Empress Masako!
ReplyDeleteNow one can really tell why the skirts of the empress often look slightly baggy, she must look dignified with every movement, no figure-hugging, here she is walking and the cut of the skirt is perfectly adapted to her figure from all angles.
