On May 17, 2026, the Duchess of Edinburgh and her daughter, Lady Louise Windsor, took part in the Pol Roger Meet of the British Driving Society’s carriage-driving parade on the fourth day of the 2026 Royal Windsor Horse Show in Home Park. The show is the only event in the UK to host international competitions in show jumping, dressage, driving, and endurance. Queen Elizabeth II frequently attended the annual event during her lifetime.

    Seems they enjoyed themselves. In my mind Sophie’s coat is an overkill for the occasion. But I’ve never been to one of these events, so I am possibly mistaken.

    In my mind, the hats are very odd choices for this event; one with a very large wind catching brim, and the other.. well, it looks like it is going to fall down over the eyes at any second. Lovely ladies othervise!

      I am also not a fan of either hat. To be so young and attractive and wear such a frumpy hat with a miss matched green ribbon. The Duchess’s hat is also a miss from my perspective. MR

    Lady Louise competes in this sport so I am sure she must know how to dress for it, so the large hat comment is of no standing.
