On May 7–8, 2026, Crown Princess Victoria visited Rome, Italy, to mark the 100th anniversary of the Swedish Institute in Rome. On May 7, the Crown Princess began her program with a visit to the Vatican and the tomb of Queen Christina in St. Peter’s Basilica. Queen Christina lived in Rome during the final twenty years of her life and, upon her death in 1689, was buried in St. Peter’s Basilica in the Vatican.
In the evening, Crown Princess Victoria of Sweden attended the celebration of the institute’s 100th anniversary. The Swedish Institute in Rome was founded during a meeting at the Royal Palace on May 8, 1925. The institute serves as the base for Swedish archaeological excavations and scientific activities in Italy and also houses a research library.

The hair clip is a big no for me. However, Victoria looks very lovely in the floral dress with her hair in a higher bun.

Agree with your points. Well said.
DeleteAgree!
DeleteI am not for a total ban of a hair clip, however it should as close as possible to her hair color.
DeleteLovely dress.

ReplyDeleteBella!
ReplyDeleteSorry but I do not like these long dresses with flowers any more. I also think that CP Victoria should finally adopt another hairstyle. I like the clothes worn by the other lady (pic. N°3).
ReplyDeleteLove (and covet) that dress and I am happy to see it reused.
ReplyDeleteI don’t understand comments re Victoria’s hairclip. It’s a practical way to keep her hair back. I wonder if these commenters are associating the clip with something I don’t under stand? Where I come from it’s completely acceptable as it is a hair-clip actually created to wear in hair.
ReplyDeleteHair clips look extremely casual, in my opinion - as in, something you would wear at the pool or while washing your face.

En fait, ce n'est pas une barrette mais une pince à cheveux façon "je relève mes cheveux et j'accroche cette pince pour entrer dans ma douche" d'où l'étonnement pour une princesse
DeleteI love her evening wear. It’s a very beautiful understated dress. The fabric looks crisp and cool - is it poplin?
ReplyDeleteI like the dress and how it fits. Not keen on short sleeves nor the colour on her. It washes her out. What I do like is she holds her flowers, and doesn’t hand them off to someone like she has no interest in them.
ReplyDeleteI prefer the larger floral pattern instead of the tiny florals that she, and other royal ladies, have worn in the past. It feels more modern and sophisticated. I also don’t think a hair clip is okay to wear, especially for someone who’s worn a bun for decades, you should know how to tie up your hair without a cheap plastic clip.
ReplyDeleteShe has worn this hair clip before and rather than it being cheap plastic, close up it looks like beautifully carved mother of pearl. More importantly, I think CP Victoria knows how to tame her hair which always looks neat, and few could carry such a severe style.
