On April 22, 2026, Crown Princess Leonor flew in an F-5 jet alongside an instructor from the Military Fighter and Attack School of Wing 23 at Talavera la Real Air Base (Badajoz), as part of her training program and to gain insight into the instruction of fifth-year cadets. On May 5, the Royal Household released new photographs and a video taken during her military training at the General Air and Space Academy.

In 2026, the Princess completed her second solo flight in a Pilatus PC-21. In the same year, together with other students of the General Air and Space Academy (AGA), she visited Wing 14 of the Air and Space Force at Los Llanos Air Base (Albacete) to observe the operation of Eurofighter (C.16) aircraft. She also undertook a training flight in an F-5 combat aircraft with Wing 23 at Talavera la Real Air Base (Badajoz).

Upon completing her military training, the Princess will pursue a degree in Political Science at Carlos III University of Madrid. The undergraduate program, taught at the Getafe campus, includes subjects such as Political Science, the Humanities, Law, Economics, Sociology, History, and International Relations.
