On April 23, 2026, King Felipe VI and Queen Letizia of Spain attended the presentation ceremony of the 2025 Miguel de Cervantes Prize awarded to Mexican writer Gonzalo Celorio at the University of Alcalá in Alcalá de Henares. The King and Queen presented the 2025 Miguel de Cervantes Prize in Literature in the Spanish Language, awarded by the Ministry of Culture, to Mexican writer Gonzalo Celorio.
The day before, the King and Queen presided over a luncheon at the Royal Palace of Madrid for representatives of the literary world on the occasion of the presentation of this award, which was first granted in 1976 to Jorge Guillén. Since then, 51 authors have received the prize. For the occasion, Queen Letizia wore a blue midi dress by Carolina Herrera.

Beautiful dress! The fit, the color, the cute little sleeve detail - it's the perfect springtime dress. The little floral bag is a cute addition. Queen Letizia has got to have a great jewel box but she doesn't seem to like to wear alot of jewelry. IMO, this dress would be perfect for a statement brooch or necklace. Lovely spring look overall.
ReplyDeleteLetizia has not jewelry at all, most pieces disappeared when the dictatorship...there are only about 10 pieces...and Queen Sofía has private things.
Delete19:27 is probably right. Basically I don't think she is a big fan of jewelry anyway, except for big occasions.
DeleteTrès jolie robe lavande originale aux manches nouées !
ReplyDeleteI love the gorgeous periwinkle blue colour of this dress. The sleek fit highlights Letizia's model figure and the sleeves with the bow ties make a very simple style more interesting. The beautiful multi-colour flower print handbag looks great against the solid colour of the dress. CH rarely misses the mark.
ReplyDeleteI agree CH truly knows how to design
DeleteAgreed! And kudos to the King in an absolutely perfected tailored outfit.
DeleteRien n est plus chic que la sobriété
ReplyDeleteYes, that is right.
DeleteLovely colour dress. And the king ...wow! He is perfectly fitted in his attire.
ReplyDeleteAgain monochromic and pale outfit on the Queen. Nothing special, not even the sleeves. The printed handbag is a mismatch. She didn't even bother changing her shoes. On the other hand, the wife of Gonzalo Celorio also wore pale and monochromic dress. But those earrings, necklace and shawl (and even her glasses) made her whole outfit much more interesting.
ReplyDeleteLess is more. Well done queen Letizia.
ReplyDeletePERFECT!!!!
ReplyDeleteI don't particularly like the color and hate the sleeves. Just okay.
ReplyDeleteThe CH dress is well made, great fit, length and style wise suits the Queen well. The color is sublime. The sleeve detail is interesting adding some flair! I do love her floral mini bag, its great to see her use this again, adding a splash of color, its a gorgeous bag, perfect in size. A necklace would have been the perfect finishing touch.
ReplyDeleteThere is some lovely fashion in the 3rd last photo by the ladies in the first row of this photo. The beige pantsuit, with the longer jacket tied at the hip looks stylish. The lady with her draped longer scarf and pale blue dress looks beautifully groomed. As is the lady 2nd from right.
King Felipe looked immaculately groomed and attired.
両陛下はいつも素敵です。
ReplyDelete8番目の写真。この騎士は洒落たパンツとロングブーツを履いていますね。
