The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are undertaking a visit to Australia. On the third day of their visit to Melbourne, the Duke and Duchess began the day by taking part in the Birrarung Wilam (River Camp) Walk along the Yarra River with the Koorie Heritage Trust. This guided tour traces more than 60,000 years of Aboriginal history and connection to the land.
The Duke and Duchess also visited Batyr, an Australian organization at the forefront of preventive mental health education and early intervention, which has been leading the conversation around digital safety in the country. Since its founding in 2011, Batyr has worked to reduce stigma and encourage help-seeking among young people, delivering peer-to-peer programs across schools, universities, and workplaces.

I don't understand the need for Meghan's oversize, baggy coat. It looks very cumbersome for a walk along the river. I would think a shorter, more fitted jacket would have been more comfortable for her.
ReplyDeleteNote that Melbourne has a variable climate and it is difficult for visitors to do long range wardrobe planning.
DeleteIt is often said as having the four seasons in the same day.
At the moment daytime temperatures are around 15° celsius.
Megan has just spent two days in an air-conditioned plane.
For me, I would forget fashion and give priority to comfort and warmth to avoid having a nasty cold when I arrived home in America.

DeleteI wasn't referring to fashion in my comment but precisely what you said about comfort. The coat looks uncomfortable being so long and wide for a walk. And Meghan left it open so not very warm.
Sandra I agree. I think she’s worn the coat because she thinks it looks cool but a cardigan would have suited the climate and style better.
DeleteOh dear.
ReplyDeleteThe olive green dress just looked like a sack when.I saw it on the news.
Whilst living in The UK meghan complained about having to wear
pantyhose/ tights but here she is wearing them in Melbourne.
Interesting trip Downunder in so many ways.!
Cate.
She didn't complain. She stated it was unusual Meghan wore tights sometimes before. Sometimes. There are clearly pictures of her in tights while promoting Suits.
DeleteThe Australian tour went great to me. The tabloids are fuming they didn't derail it. So I know it went well.
DeleteI thought Meghan looked gorgeous in that olive dress. We can have different opinions. 🤷
DeleteBoth in nice casual outfits. The dress is simple and cute. They look nice.
ReplyDeleteI'd like to do the River Camp tour. Batyr sounds like a great cause. They both look good in casual outfits. A great looking couple.
ReplyDeleteStunning.
ReplyDeleteMeghan's shirt is from the charity Alliance of Mom's and her jeans are from Rolla's. I'm a fan of slim fit boot cut or skinnies, but I love these jeans. I may have to buy them.
ReplyDeleteJeans and a T-shirt worn with an oversized coat, OK, not really interesting. Much more intriguing the olive mini dress, of which we only see the top part here until now. Seeing the whole body picture of Meghan Markle in this dress elsewhere, one cannot resist the question: "What was she thinking?"
ReplyDeleteCommenting solely on the clothes before Meghan’s protectors attack!
ReplyDeleteThe olive minidress (worn with the pantyhose) looks okay to me but her heels are too high for such a short skirt
Sorry but the oversized jacket is like the garment our school caretaker wears!
People with different opinions than yours? Attack? Disagree. I disagree with everything you said.
DeletePretending to help when they are there to set up commercial ventures purely for their own benefit should not have received media support.

DeleteTotally agree!
DeleteIt has been widely reported that she is earning a%age of all sales of the items she is wearing on this trip. Fashion and sense are not words I would put together to describe what she is wearing on this occasion.
ReplyDeleteHer clothes either don’t fit right or are just a blah color. She rarely gets it right!
DeleteI cannot imagine people wanting to dress as she does so I cannot see her latest venture succeeding. Unfortunately her ventures do have the history of not succeeding for long, as they are not well thought out from the start. What IS it that she is hoping to achieve jumping from one commercial venture to the next while wanting to be famous for doing good? A very mixed message from her. And I’m afraid poor Harry is along for the ride.
DeleteSo is her hair inside the coat or is she wearing extensions every other day on this trip? I really don't like the coat and have to agree that it seems cumbersome and the clothes really aren't special on this particular day but what's with the hair? If it's in the coat - that's weird, if it's extentions, why have it under the coat? Just to clarify I am NOT a Meghan hater and indeed a big defender of Harry and Meghan - just commenting on her hair.
ReplyDeleteJ’aime bien leur tenue décontractée à tous les deux ; qu’ils en profitent !
ReplyDeleteI want to like the dress but it is too short, the green is keeping with her. Hoice of neutral colours. She would have looked more polished wearing a belt with her jeans. Time to shorten her hair or wear it differently , shoulder length would frame her face nicely. Her choice but from a viewer point of view, it is hanging heavy.
ReplyDeleteWat heeft ze een gekke neus
ReplyDeleteAgree !!
DeleteAltijd al gehad!
ReplyDeleteNot a fan of the dress. MO it is too short and it just hangs there; the black stockings no. I do like her in the casual outfit. The coat maybe a bit too heavy, maybe a cardigan would have been just right. But then I am not the one wearing Meghen is, the important thing is that she like it.

The Olive green short dress, lacks shape, style and definition. Its too bland and without character. I do like the black hose though.
ReplyDeleteShe has a contract to wear these clothes for promotion and gets a percentage of the sale. No one of nobility would ever do that. I donot think this site should join the promotion.
ReplyDeleteFortunately her clothes in these pics are not stylish enough for most people to think to buy the same.
DeleteSono d’accordo con te e con altri che qui hanno scritto la stessa cosa.
DeleteHow they pretend to be from the royal court in Montecito! Ridiculous!
ReplyDeleteIndeed it’s disingenuous and dishonest on the part of this couple.
DeletePersonally, she is a genuine source of inspiration to me in a very positive sense. Suits is, in my view, one of the best series of all time. I also appreciate her clarity in both communication and style, which I find elegant. At the same time, it’s worth acknowledging that women in public life are often met with criticism shaped by broader societal biases.
ReplyDeleteSome sense at last! One commenter said all her ideas have failed? Is that the sort of fail that won her awards for her podcast, and enabled her to sell over 1 million jars of jam? She has personally invested in many female led starts ups which are doing well. If you don’t want them to have royal money and you don’t want them to earn money do you want them to live on the streets? LRB
Delete@14:27, societal biases? Oh. It is just plain hypocrisy, lack of authenticity. Say one thing, do another. Don't need a speck of a societal bias to notice.
ReplyDeleteI don't care much for the fashion on display today. So I'll talk about what did catch my eye. In photo three, she looks gorgeous. I like her hair. I hope she considers cutting her hair the length it appears in this photo as well, it frames and suits her face so much better than the long hair.
