The week-long festival, held from 3 to 9 April at Sheytemi at an altitude of around 2,900 metres above sea level, celebrates the flowering season when rhododendrons come into bloom. Bhutan has approximately 46 species of rhododendron, of which 41 are found in the highland areas of Merak and Sakteng.

The little princess is adorable and clearly is adored even by her brothers!! Having visited Bhutan last year I wish I had had the chance to meet the royal family as some tourists clearly have. LRB

They seem a tight knit little family. The young Princess is clearly adored by her older siblings. Iits always a joy to see the younger members in national dress.
    Lowri.
