On April 3, 2026, King Felipe VI, Queen Letizia, and their daughters, Crown Princess Leonor and Infanta Sofía, attended the Holy Week Silence Procession in Carabanchel. The King, Queen, and their daughters walked among the participants. They also posed for photos with locals who wished to do so. Along the route, they greeted and spoke with many residents.

Good Friday (Viernes Santo) is known as the most solemn, dramatic, and spiritually significant day of Holy Week. This day commemorates the Passion, Crucifixion, and Death of Jesus Christ. There are seven processions taking place in Madrid on Good Friday, the most important of which is the famous Silence Procession (Procesión del Silencio).
