Prince Vincent and Princess Josephine will be confirmed on April 18, 2026, at Fredensborg Palace Chapel. The ceremony will be conducted by the Royal Chaplain, Bishop Henrik Wigh-Poulsen. Over the weekend, the Prince and Princess met with the Royal Chaplain at Amalienborg for a conversation about faith, Christianity, and their upcoming confirmation.
In recent months, the Prince and Princess have taken part in confirmation preparation classes together with their respective school classes. In the lead-up to the ceremony, they will also continue to hold meetings with the Royal Chaplain.
The office of Royal Chaplain dates back to the 17th century. The Royal Confessor serves as the priest to the Royal Family and officiates at various religious ceremonies for its members. Since 2018, Bishop Henrik Wigh-Poulsen has held the position and also confirmed the Prince’s and Princess’s older siblings in 2021 and 2022.

I have 2 other friends who are avid knitters and I am always shocked at the beautiful designs they make and in such a short space of time (couple of days in some cases, or even in a weekend.). Knitting is an artistic talent and I'm sure you have made some beautiful pieces too. Good on you!

Thanks dear Anon 9:13 😊. Knitting is a very good skill here in the Nordic countries because of the cold winters, well not so cold any more especially in Southern Finland where I live. You are quite right, I've knitted a lot for me and my family.

The cable look jumper, is warm looking, I like this jumper on the Prince. Princess Josphine reminds me so much of her mother here, she is a beautiful young lady/Princess.
