Wow, Brigitte Macron is looking so beautiful in her burgundy dress. Her hair is more blond this time. I prefer this haircolor for her.
I also like the golden embroidery on the grey-blue caftan of the Moroccon princess in the 1st picture.

  3. Oh goodness, the traditional gowns are breathtaking in their beauty, such gorgeous gowns, colors, and fabric. They look elegant and stylish. The jewels are perfectly chosen.
Madame Brigitte Macron, looks beautiful. The close up of this gown (I enlarged photo) is beautifully crafted. Up close her makeup was perfectly done, as was her hair, I loved the up style with the neckline of this gown. The fit is perfect, her clothes always are perfectly tailored to her shape, marvelous to see. The color suits her and is gorgeous shade.

What a strange set of photos, perhaps there are others. But in these photos I’m seeing way too many men watching women who are dressed to the nines but (except for one) don’t look happy at all about it. Does anyone have more context on what they were doing and who they are? (Obv I know of Mme Macron!)

Agree, they are all looking very ernest, as if this is not a festive occasion.

I agree! The fabrics are beautiful but why are they so glum? Maybe bored? I wonder what the performance was … maybe tragedy? I prefer fresh lightness in expressions, fabrics and theatres… this feels heavy and unhappy to me? But as you say it can just be what was captured in one second and not reflect the evening!

Agree! Amazing fabrics, but a heavy mood. The ladies sit so separately, and have a team of men watching (security?). Does not look that enjoyable.

I agree. Maybe they were bored waiting for something?

They could be body guards but I am only guessing. Maybe the men and women cannot sit in the same box at the theater according the islamic laws ?

It's not easy to take a group photo, hence not 100% smiling. Perhaps the men are bodyguards. Chris

Madame Macron looks perfect this time too, very elegant in her gown, and hair up and back is always good. To the Moroccan princesses: yes, a lot of masterfully embroidered silk, wow. But I am very sorry to find that I am unable to discover style, namely, to differentiate between a precious table cloth and a gown made of the same precious fabric. Both are used to afford complete coverage, and here, the belts are the only design elements I can perceive. Madame Macron's gown is very simple too and covers everything, but the cut and the design allow for her to show that she is a woman with the corresponding forms.

  10. Too much frou-frou, exaggerated sleeves and embellishment. Too over the top for my taste. But it could be a cultural thing in Morroco. I do like Brigitte's elegant hairstyle.

  12. For clarification: The lady in the black Kaftan is Lalla Hasna, the lady in the gold and cream Kaftan is Lalla Meryem, and the one in the blue and gold Kaftan is Lalla Khadija. The latter mentioned Princess is the daughter of King Mohammed VI and Princess Lalla Salma (divorced), the former two are the King's sisters (aunts to Princess Lalla Khadija). Mme. Macron looks very elegant as well. The Kaftans worn by the Moroccan Princesses are exquisite, of course.
