On April 21, 2026, Queen Mathilde of Belgium presented the Queen Mathilde Prize at the Royal Palace in Brussels. Prior to the award ceremony, the Queen met with representatives of the selected projects, together with the chairs of the youth jury, which selects the laureate. Each year, the Queen Mathilde Fund supports inspiring projects that help children and young people in vulnerable situations build their future.

This year, the winner of the Queen Mathilde Prize is “Pré-en-bulles,” a perinatal support service. Pré-en-bulles offers young parents a warm, homelike place where they can meet, share experiences, and gradually grow into their role as parents. This is done with the support of professionals in perinatal care and within a strong dynamic of trust and solidarity.

Q Mathilde looks lovely. Represents a prize with her name. Must be a worthy cause.

Pretty dress. Personally I prefer a crew or jewel neck rather than the boatneck, but still pretty placing of the print. Christine

Queen Mathilde shines in this outfit. It's great to see her dressed so beautifully for these occasions. I would love to see her in person.

Pic 4 is wonderful with the queen and all the young people looking perfectly neat and gorgeous in simple outfits in sumptuous surrounds. Such a harmonious photo!

  5. The dress is shapeless and the print is formless. It looks like the fabric has grass stains. Not one of Mathilde's best.

Hello Sandra, instead of focusing on the dress itself, I focus on how Mathilde looks wearing it. Both shape and colour, which you find formless and like grass, are incredibly flattering to her figure. Somehow in this dress she looks elegant, well proportioned, queenly and approachable. That’s a win. I find it very successful.

You make a good point. Most people agree with you. I just don't like the dress. It's just not my cup of tea.

Hi Sandra, and that’s completely cool with fashion … there’s room for all our tastes! I was watching a Justine Leconte video today on fashion trends upcoming and she mentioned the relaxation of form and lowering or blurring of waists, seen across the key fashion houses … so maybe that’s what’s happening here in this Natan couture.

I always appreciate an outfit that has had thought and time put into it. QM never fails in that department. Though I might not always appreciate her Natan choices, she always looks well turned out. Hair make up and jewellery are on point. I am sure the people they meet appreciate the fact that the queen made the effort to look her best for that meeting.

I for one like this dress, the style suits her well, the colour is good and shoes perfect for this type of skirt. Must be a Natan based on the style of the top.

I love everything about this dress, the green radiating lines are simply beautiful -- except for the waistline area, where the top is crumpling, interfering with the the effect of the printed lines. The top is too narrow at the hem, so the voluminous skirt is restraining the top and not letting it hang properly. (Also, the hang of the skirt folds in the front is not balanced.) Custom waist-shaping of the top, i.e. flaring the hem area more, so it would sit out cleanly over the skirt, would have fixed the crumple problem. Lyra

  9. This dress looks so lovely, the color scheme is different, but I love it!. The style and design I find very attractive, particularly the neckline, this is very becoming. The length of the dress is spot on. Her shoe color is pretty, saw a close up not sure what the color is but I like this. The clutch, equally lovely shade. Her hair looked good. Really lovely presentation by the Queen.

  11. Si j’ai bien vu, le haut se combine à merveille avec les impressions de la jupe ; son col aurait mérité quand même d’être plus rond !

I like the idea of a 2 pieces (skirt + top). I also like the fresh print of grass, very summery. The skirt looks a bit too wide and too long to me. The top looks good with the boat neck. Why not continue the boat style on the back of the neck ? Queen Mathilde is wearing green (emerald ?) earrings. I know Queen Mathilde has pendant earrings with an emerald stone. I cannot see she is wearing them or a pair of her modern earrings. The dark beige shoes and clutch are matching the dress well.
