On March 19, 2026, the Duchess of Sussex attended the 34th Annual Champions for Children Gala, hosted by the Alliance for Children’s Rights, at the Beverly Wilshire, A Four Seasons Hotel in Beverly Hills. During the ceremony, the Duchess presented the Francis M. Wheat Community Service Award to Kelly McKee Zajfen, co-founder of Alliance of Moms.
The Alliance for Children’s Rights is a nonprofit legal services organization that protects the rights of impoverished, abused, and neglected children in Los Angeles County. The event raised more than $1.4 million to support the Alliance’s free legal aid and advocacy for young people in foster care. For the occasion, the Duchess of Sussex wore a silk gown by Ralph Lauren.

Epoustouflante Meghan dans cette robe de soie tant au niveau du style que de la couleur !
ReplyDeleteSimple, chic, beautiful. If you’re a hater, you will not like it no doubt.
ReplyDelete14:40. Sad but true.
DeleteI agree - Meghan at her best in simple, beautifully tailored and minimal jewellery . Loved seeing her present a prize/award to one of her closest friends. LRB
DeleteNot really necessary to try to disqualify people with different opinions, or is it really so necessary for you? Well then do it, but it says more about you than about others. - Bare shoulders inappropriate or not inappropriate (because most people are clearly dressed down) - solid fact is that this gown is too tight, look at pic 4.
DeleteAgreed with Anon 14:40
DeleteI’m not a “hater” but I don’t think this dress suits her. I don’t need a diminishing label to state my differing opinion. I feel she would look better in a dress which includes shoulders and is softer. This is quite harsh on her and makes her face look harsh.
DeleteAgree with 04.22!
DeleteLovely dress in her signature style of bare shoulders. All the ladies are nicely dressed.
ReplyDeleteEvening gown with bare shoulders does not seem to be part of the dress code here, simple suits or just jackets and no tie at all on the gentlemen - so probably there was no dress code at all: https://www.instagram.com/p/DWIAFWUoBNq/ . So the signature bare shoulders on display are overdone (as was the pregnant-belly-tapping on the body of her friend in front of all cameras.
ReplyDeleteBare shoulders are a big deal? Your opinion. Not to me. Belly tapping. I saw a belly rub of someone she's known for 20 years that lost a child and is now expecting. I don't know her but was surprised and happy.
DeleteLet me start by saying I am not a hater. She always bares her shoulders, be it strapless or halter top, skin tight, plain neutral colours, that is her go to, that is what she likes. I am not a fan of this look, as I like a pop of colour and more movement in the fabric.
DeleteAs anonymous 14.40 pointed out the haters will hate it. She has done nothing wrong and others were dressed in similar styles. She is always touchy feely - it’s her way. LRB
DeleteWell Meghan has lovely shoulders that she can
DeleteMeghan has lovely shoulders she can bare in strapless, sleeveless, halter, or spaghetti. Her shoulders.
Delete@00:27, "her shoulders". Of course, do you think this is news? Her shoulder, her style, and our quite diverse opinions about it. We usually don't try to declare bulging connective tissue in a too tight dress as nonexistent in this blog. So please stop hating those who you, baselessly, call "haters". Just be tolerant.
DeleteQuelle belle femme, toujours chic et élégante.
ReplyDeleteMARIE
Ravissante comme d'habitude
ReplyDeleteFroufrou
She looked lovely. Nice dress, beautiful smile, with an old friend for a good cause.
ReplyDeleteMeghan looks lovely. Simple and chic, and the dress fits her like a glove. Glad to see her supporting this non-profit org.
ReplyDelete- Anon 9:13
Dress is nice but s dull color. She seems to like neutrals though.
ReplyDeleteMeghan, return to United Kingdom with your family!
ReplyDeleteThey have already shown her how she will be treated
DeleteDistraction from facts is very much required.
DeleteEpstein was a friend of Prince Andrew and guest at Buckingham Palace.
I want to like this look, but the fabric has no give whatsoever, I don't find this attractive. I realise the style of this dress, but more give, would imo enhance of the overall look.
ReplyDeleteI would have loved to see the Duchess in a different style of gown, we have seen many of near identical styles from the Duchess. I do like the Navy color of this gown.
I appreciate this is her style preference, but it gets rather bland and boring repetitively. Some color? her hair on this occasion I don't like looking ungroomed, again I understand that's her preference. This style.
The model pictured wearing this gown imo looks successful. She appears taller, the gown is longer, just looks more elegant, with her height she can get away with this. The bodice at the top of her breast line fits better, Meghan's appears to have a slight bulge of skin, above the elastic top, no criticism whatsoever, pure observations. The model is wearing colorful longer earrings that look divine, that splash of color.
What does appeal to me is the lady in the 1st photo, 2nd from right, she appears to dress with maybe the dress code possibly, I could be wrong, but this outfit looks stylish. Her pants, jacket and darker shade top/jumper? fit beautifully, elegant. She looks so chic and classy. Hair and makeup on point.
Predictable.
DeleteMany women have been out lately ungroomed because the tendrils are still popular 300 years and counting.
DeleteMeghan is beautiful I like to see her out. I find her style stylish and sleek. To each her or his own. Dresses and pants suits don't really say strict dress code. Everyone is simply dressed. The pantsuit is good but the fit isn't to my taste but she looks great. They all do to me. Congratulations to her friend and the event was successful. Yay!
DeleteThis could be an elegant dress if it was not too tight and not only across her tummy. She is spilling out of it on pics 2, 4 and 5 (next to the model-pic). It takes extreme fandom to want to overlook it.
ReplyDeleteExtreme? Many women would be cursing themselves if they thought that.
DeleteYes it’s not a good fit for her. She has money to spend on beautigul gowns but seems to like this styling which doesn’t suit her. Spilling out of a dress when you don’t have much body fat is simply the wrong choice for the body. I also find that navy is harsh on her face. I’m not a hater by the way, I’m just seeing a poorly chosen gown.
DeleteMeghan is looking very beautiful.
ReplyDeleteNo matter the outfit good supportive under garments are needed. This RL dress due to its design is unforgiving. As slim as she is, something around the stomach and back just to smooth out any ‘rough edges’ would have given her a far more polished look.
ReplyDeleteLowri.
Just read over these comments once again. You will finde (1) those who like Meghan's outfit and they get no critic or "hate" at all after their comments and (2) those who don't like and criticise it. The latter get immediate rebuke, even preemptively, before anyone wrote anything critical. - Now you decide, who are the active "haters" here :-)
ReplyDeleteCompletly understand you, anon 11.01
Delete100% 11:01!
DeleteShe is really beautiful.
