On 17 March 2026, King Felipe VI and Queen Letizia of Spain paid an official visit to the city of Jaén as part of the events commemorating the 1,200th anniversary of the city’s designation as a capital. They were accompanied by the President of the Regional Government of Andalusia, Juanma Moreno, the Mayor, Julio Millán, and the President of the Provincial Council, Francisco Reyes. Jaén is a city in southern Spain.

As part of the visit, the King and Queen visited Jaén City Hall in the context of the anniversary celebrations. They also toured the Baños Árabes Cultural Centre, one of the most emblematic monumental complexes in the city and a key example of Andalusian historical heritage, located within the Palace of Villardompardo.
