On March 17, 2026, Princess Madeleine of Sweden attended Min Stora Dag’s knowledge seminar “The Full Spectrum” at Lilla Cirkus in Stockholm. The seminar focused on how children and young people with autism can be better included and enjoy more meaningful leisure activities. Princess Madeleine is a patron of Min Stora Dag (My Big Day).
The event was organized for the seventh consecutive year by Min Stora Dag and brought together around 800 participants, including representatives from healthcare, education, and public authorities, as well as relatives and other engaged individuals.
Many children with autism in Sweden lack access to meaningful leisure activities, despite their importance for health, social development, and a sense of belonging. Throughout the day, discussions were held on children’s right to such activities, the importance of a positive and flexible approach, participation, puberty, and how society can better include, adapt to, and meet the specific needs of children with autism.
