Queen Sofía Attends Easter Concert in Support of Projecte Home Balears

Queen Sofía of Spain, Infanta Elena and Infanta Cristina attended the concert in Palma

On March 30, 2026, Queen Sofía of Spain, along with Infanta Elena and Infanta Cristina, attended the traditional Easter concert held in support of Projecte Home Balears at the Cathedral-Basilica of Santa María of Mallorca in Palma.

Projecte Home Balears was founded in 1987 to address the social problem of drug addiction. All proceeds from the concert will go entirely to the treatment and prevention programmes run by the organisation on the islands.

The concert featured the Symphony Orchestra of the Balearic Islands “Ciutat de Palma,” conducted by Pablo Mielgo, and the Choir of the University of the Balearic Islands, led by Núria Cunillera, who performed Giuseppe Verdi’s Requiem. The soloists were Mira Alkhovik, soprano; Silvia Tro Santafé, mezzo-soprano; Antoni Lliteres, tenor; and Simón Orfila, bass.
