On March 25, 2026, Queen Silvia and Princess Madeleine attended a board meeting of the World Childhood Foundation held at the Royal Palace of Stockholm. At the meeting, Helena Nyström, Country Manager for ABB Sweden, and Johanna Minding Kriisa, CEO of Volvo Car Sweden, were elected as new board members. No remuneration is paid to the board.
ABB is one of Childhood’s co-founders and has, since its inception, maintained a long-term and strong commitment to preventing sexual abuse of children. Volvo Car Sweden has been a partner of Childhood since 2003. Queen Silvia founded the World Childhood Foundation in 1999. Princess Madeleine has served as a member of Childhood’s Board of Directors since February 2016. For the occasion, Madeleine wore a black jacket by Veronica Beard.

Both ladies beautiful, but I like how the Queen wears her nice little jacket (yes, hot love here for nice little collarfree jackets). Look at the sleeves: not full length, what I like anyway, but Silvia uses that little space for the cuffs of her shirt. And it gives freshness to the whole outfit. The cuteness of it! And Queen of Tastefulness what she is: she finds the button that can be closed with the others left open, without looking unfinished.
ReplyDeleteQueen and Pss look very nice. I like the longer jacket from Madelaine and nice fit. Great job commitment from the Queen for childhood foundation. The rights and safety of children around the world is very important. Thank you for your hard work YM.

The Royal ladies both look well groomed, stylish and smart. The jacket worn by the Princess is well made, the pockets and buttons are eye catching on the dark colored fabric. I love the blouse worn with the Queen's jacket.
