Queen Letizia and the Minister of Health, Mónica García, attended the event organized by FEDER on the occasion of World Rare Disease Day 2026.
On March 3, 2026, Queen Letizia of Spain presided over the event organized by the Spanish Federation of Rare Diseases (FEDER) on the occasion of World Rare Disease Day. The event was held at the Palacio de Congresos de Castellón in Castellón de la Plana, Valencian Community. Organized as part of the campaign “Because Every Person Matters”, the initiative aims to ensure equity in access to social and healthcare resources.
Although World Rare Disease Day is observed on February 28, FEDER convened the entire network of associations on Tuesday, March 3, to centralize the celebration in an event bringing together patients, families, researchers, and institutional representatives. For the occasion, Queen Letizia wore a light-teal suit by Paul Smith.

The suit is a pretty color but am I allowed to say I don't like the blouse or the shoes? Since Queen Letizia started wearing low heels I haven't really cared for most of her shoes and these are particularly unattractive to me. I don't like the big buckle on a low heel and I don't really like the color with this aqua suit. A pussy bow bouse and different shoe, plain pump or even a sandal would have looked better.
ReplyDeleteFair enough you don’t like them; doesn’t have to be to your taste! I actually really like the shoes and find them practical in colour and shape and would love to own several from her preferred brand. What I don’t love here is the lower part of the trousers, but that’s because I prefer straight trousers with a hem just over the shoe for suits (call me conservative!). The blouse for me is a nice twist on a business blouse and sits well under the jacket. What I really love are the costumes of the two dancers, right down to the excellent stockings.
DeleteFull agree re the shoes. These are both unattractive and mismatched to my eye too. And the situation is further aggravated by the too short trousers.
DeleteI do like the blouse actually, and it isn´t a bow blouse from what I can see. It is a high neck design with some draping at the neck, but I find it simple and basic enough to work under the jacket.
Sandals in March? Actually lots of rain and cold IS the weather channel in Spain, these days.
DeleteAnon 16:43..the typical costume from Castellón de la Plana.
DeleteBelle association de couleur bleu pétrole clair à laquelle Letizia a su apporter un haut blanc ; élégants petits talons Camel !
ReplyDeleteAs my own rule of thumb, I never really like shirts and blouses under suit jackets. They cannot come out to play, they are restricted and display just a very limited part of themselves, which is not an advantage for anything that has an own design. For me, what one wears under a suit jacket should not be much more than a simple complementing accessory - like for example the black top she is wearing on the photo to the left of the model. As for shoes, I'd prefer those flat black shoes too.
ReplyDelete16:40 I find your suit opinion interesting. As someone who wore a suit for many years and would take the jacket on and off according to comfort, temperature and formality throughout the day, I had to have a good blouse on underneath so that it still looked right with the skirt or pants. I cannot imagine a suit jacket with just the bare minimum under because what would happen all those times the jacket comes off!
DeleteAnon 21:00 - A beautiful silk or thin cashmere/merino or cotton shirt is not the bare minimum. What I mean in most cases is the collar or the bow, a complicated neckline. A good solution are collarless jackets. But of course, it is only me...
DeleteThe turquoise color is just lovely.
ReplyDeleteAgree !!
DeleteJ aime la tenue de Letizia
ReplyDeleteFroufrou
Sooooooooooo LOvely
ReplyDeleteThis trim trouser suit in a fresh, subtle colour, combined with a feminine blouse and coordinated, slightly playful shoes is a relief from her recent dull looks. Letizia looks elegant and refined.
