As President of Women of the World (WOW), Queen Camilla hosted a reception to mark International Women’s Day and the fifteenth year of WOW. During the reception, the Queen was joined by the Founder of WOW, Jude Kelly, and the Duchess of Gloucester to meet guests including supporters and staff, women leading in their fields from the arts to education, and people working to eradicate violence against women and girls.
Having supported the organisation since its inception in 2010, Queen Camilla became President of WOW in 2015, and regularly attends the WOW Festival in London and events around the world. Women of the World is a global alliance of partners, working together to drive an equal and inclusive future for women, girls and non-binary people.
Finally, a more modern slant — I like Camilla’s business casual outfit. Gives a more youthful vibe. Very good black and white combo
ReplyDeleteYou mean she does not look her age? I think she does look her age. But why not? she does a very good job and she even succeeds to give the impression that she enjoys it. Where does age come into this picture and why?
DeleteYes Anonymous 22:15 you raise a fair point! I dont think I ever saw anyone comment that Queen Elizabeth II should sport a more youthful vibe. I think it is fine if we all act our age!

DeleteDear @06:50: no of course, it is not exactly a "problem", we hear and read it all the time. But think about the not-so-hidden message: youthful vibe is loaded with the sentiments "good, positive". So let's all strive to look young. And we know what comes out of it, surgery, botox, anti-aging. Women of all ages strive to look young and keep that look, with any means (surgery, botox), because there is an opposite: old, worn, ugly, granny-like. Words are powerful tools.
