On March 24, 2026, Princess Kako of Akishino visited the Hamamatsu Intercultural Center and C.E.P. Mundo de Alegría International School in Shizuoka. Princess Kako met with members of the Japanese-Brazilian organization COLORS at the center. The organization provides support for children, offering information and guidance on matters such as nationality selection, employment, and Japanese language learning.
Hamamatsu, a city with a strong manufacturing industry, is home to a community of people of Japanese descent with roots in South America and other regions. Princess Kako visited Brazil in 2025, which increased her interest in people with international backgrounds. For the occasion, Princess Kako wore a floral midi dress by Hobbs.

I'd wish just this ensemble for Sophie, Duchess of E.: the flowery dress for her "inner girl" (but in this length) and then, exactly this very minimum of a simple jacket for her looks for everybody else. Kako looks smashing.

DeleteI also appreciate the willingness to wear high street brands (not everything has to be designer to look elegant and regal), this is a very pretty dress and the princess is wearing it well.

DeleteThe floral dress is beautiful. The pink jacket highlights the pink flowers in the dress. The dress also looks great with the black jacket shown on the model and it looks good without any jacket as well. It's obviously a very versatile garment.

ReplyDeleteShe looks beautiful. The floral dress fits her well, the skirt has lovely swish, love this! The pattern of the fabric is effective, not overdone. I like the pink jacket, the style and length of this jacket is superb, its perfect for this dress, which I love, its not often you see this, most are too long and bulky, this pink jacket is a snug fit and perfectly sits well on her waist. In saying that I do really love the navy colored jacket on the model who looks very elegant, great hat! The Princess's hair looks beautiful, the up do, sighting a look from the side, lovely. Always a joy to see her, she is bright, happy and engaging, just what we all need at the moment, in such turmoil, world wide.
