On March 20, 2026, Prince Albert and Princess Charlène, accompanied by Princess Gabriella, attended the opening ceremony of the 14th edition of the Sainte-Dévote Tournament at Stade Louis-II. As an official guest of the Princely Couple, Princess Akiko of Mikasa, President of the Japan Rugby Federation, followed the competition alongside the Princely Family.
A total of 24 teams representing 23 countries have come together for this edition, which is held under the banner of the values of sport and peace. Princess Charlène is the President of the Monegasque Rugby Federation. After the parade of nations, followed by the Monegasque anthem, the first matches took place on the Jacques and Gabriella fields.
