The official reopening ceremony of the Exotic Garden took place on March 25, 2026, in the presence of Prince Albert II, Princess Charlène, and Princess Caroline. The Exotic Garden of Monaco is a botanical garden located on a cliffside in Monaco. The garden, which first opened in 1933, primarily features exotic succulent plants.

The garden closed in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic and has remained closed since for renovations. A children’s garden, a picnic area, and a birthday room now complement the offerings provided by the Municipality of Monaco. The garden will open to the general public on March 30. For the occasion, Princess Charlène wore a green jacket and pants by Elie Saab.

The ladies look very well adapted to the event, the Prince would need a one size larger costume.

Charlene's suit looks lovely on the model but sagging on her.

Prince Albert needs to lose some belly weight!

You’re right, the suit is just hanging off her. It’s worrying to see.

      Beautiful Princess Charlene.

  2. The Elie Saab pantsuit is very well constructed. The jacket's style (collar and lapels) is very unique and the belt is exquisite. I like it slightly opened as shown on the model for a more relaxed look. All done up looks a bit severe on Charlene but it looks good nonetheless.

I agree slightly open would be less severe however the belt helps to breakup the colour

Would’ve been nice to see her in lighter, garden-ish attire.

Wow this is a lovely black suit. Princess Caroline is looking good too in her caramel pant suit. When I see the pictures of the Exotic Garden I visited in 1968, I would like to be there again. The weather is looking good and warmer than where I live, more up North in Europe where the weather is more like in Autumn for the moment. A bit of sunshine, dark clouds, rain, cold wind, less warm than last week.

    Nice but unbuttened is better.

    Very elegant suit of Charlene

The shade of green is fitting for the event. It fits where it sits, and showcases PC svelte figure.
I wish PA would invest in a tailored suit. His pants are always crunched up at the base and all his jackets are a button away from popping. He needs a jacket with more structure and leave it open, to give a vertical illusion.
    Lowri.

Amen . Prince Albert is in need of a good stylist. Maybe he should listen to his wife when it comes to correct fashion. :). Princess Caroline looks great. But the suit is bit large and pants a little too long. Tailoring would improve this beautiful outfit. Charlene is a #10 in British royal women, when it comes to their styling and appropriateness in choices.

Does Caroline have a “cactus shaped” purse? It looks like it to me, and, if so, how hilariously appropriate! The suits are both lovely, as well!

  11. The Elie Saab pantsuit is beautifully crafted, perfect fit. It looks so stylish, chic and elegant. The style of the jacket is very impressive. The Lapels, and cute collar (I love this style) are quite distinctive. I would wear this jacket no problem!!!!! This belt, wonderful, its well-made and really adding definition, perfect for the pantsuit. I prefer how Princess Charlene has worn the collar, showing the execution perfectly, my taste only! The pants are a good length, not too baggy, perfect. Looks to be black shoes, I think!

Caroline’s handbag is outstanding. I find Ellie Saab an incredibly expensive brand for a little garden visit, echoing earlier concerns from other commenters that Charlene has an enormous one-wear-only wardrobe. But my biggest concern is her increasingly fragile frame.

You don't know if she bought it for this visit or not and also if she wears it in private. Her thin frame is really, really not your (or our) concern but if at all, then one of her family. Let's stop gossip.

Dear 12:29, thank you for taking the time to critique my personal opinions. My compassionate heart will remain concerned for this princess (who was formerly renowned for her sporting prowess and huge strength, then some years later becoming extremely thin, absent and being sent to rehabilitation, now once again becoming so fragile).

3:47 I too think the cactus handbag is excellent! I share your concerns re Charlene, and also join the interest lately here over Charlene’s endlessly new top end wardrobe. It IS a bizarre thing to wear clothes once only in public!

@12:29 this site is nothing if not a fashion/comment site by those who like to look at the royals and comment. That does come under “gossip” I guess, so let us keep on keeping on as we have done here for many years. I agree with @3:47 in all her points.

Charlene's suit has beautiful restrained details which are not obvious: I did not see them until I opened the larger version of the photos.
I love the belt buckle, shaped like 2 elephants, which was a feature of this 2025 safari-themed collection by Elie Saab. Perhaps such a detail feels special to Charlene because of her close connection to Africa. Lyra

Les remarques vont toujours vers Charlène concernant sa garde robe et jamais vers Catherine qui en possède 10 fois plus même si certaines tenues sont reportées. Pour elle à chaque sortie un nouveau manteau.

@07:42 - the Princess of Wales re-wears clothes often, has many re-imagined as does Q.Mary, but I cannot recall Charlene doing that.
This suit is, as others have stated, beutifully designed/constructed, but I think she is swamped with it. It hangs rather than being worn.

I love the belt with the two elephants! On the other hand I find the cactus bag silly.

Demasiado oscura, no solo por el tipo de evento sinó también por un acto en primavera a plena luz del día.

I find Charlene elegant nevertheless but I don’t think this suit looks good. With her old vibrancy this could have been lovely but now when she is so thin, it emphasises this and is too severe. To be thinner than the thin model is really saying something.

Love this suit. The belt is special.
