Prince Abdul Mateen of Brunei and his wife, Princess Anisha Rosnah, have released new family portraits with their daughter, Princess Zahra. Princess Anisha gave birth to their daughter, Zahra Mariam, on 8 February 2026. Baby Zahra’s full name—Zahra Mariam Bolkiah—is a nod to Prince Mateen’s mother, Mariam Abdul Aziz, the second wife of Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah. In the photographs, Princess Anisha is wearing a silver-embellished gown by British designer Jenny Packham.

Gown is very glitzy must look lovely when standing. The baby’s headband is feminine without a bow. Beautiful family portrait

Normally € 5,335 but now on special for € 3,201, perfect for sitting down in your room holding a baby!! Hmmm … I would have been just as happy to see this couple in shorts and tshirts and am a bit flabbergasted by the display of wealth.

I am thinking this is a formal picture. If you click on the princess name they have very casual pictures there.

They make such a handsome couple. Now they’re a family of three. Princess Anisha looks beautiful. She has that soft glow of motherhood.

Kind of over the top for introducing a baby? Will he have multiple wives?

Wishing them all the best. Hopefully the prince will content himself with his lovely wife and not continue the tradition of multiple marriages. There are plenty of great examples for him to follow (if not specifically from his own father).
