On March 10, 2026, Grand Duke Guillaume and Grand Duchess Stéphanie visited the House of Human Rights for a meeting with the Ombudsman, Claudine Konsbruck. During the visit, the Ombudsman and her team presented their institution’s missions to the Grand Ducal Couple, as well as the main challenges encountered in the course of their work.
The mission of the Ombudsman is to act as an independent authority responsible for promoting the amicable settlement of disputes between citizens and public administrations. In this capacity, the Ombudsman examines complaints concerning the functioning of state administrations, municipalities, as well as public institutions.
I do like the Grand Duchess Stephanie. She seems to be a fantastic mother and seems to be a great support and partner to her husband. I wish she would get a stylist that could advise her on how to dress to represent her role as a grand duchess. She often appears in the type of clothes that I wear - pants and a loose top over the pants - they are probably of the best quality but do not enhance her role of Grand Duchess. She is a beautiful woman who, with a bit of help from a fashion consultant, could look amazing.
ردحذفShe is beautiful and I think she’s very well appreciated in Luxembourg regardless of her choice of clothes that she’s comfy in. She has recently worn some magnificent outfits so I think it’s a choice she makes to wear her “go to” outfits (trousers and blouses and low heels) when she prefers them. Fair enough.

حذفI am all for simple trouser+blouse combinations but there are definitely much better looking blouses out there ... that neckline has a clear fabric congestion that cannot do any good service to any woman.

ردحذفI feel the GD is comfortable in visits such as this, wearing these types of outfits. An overblouse and pants. I'm not sure of the fit of the blouse, only going by the neckline, looking small.
ردحذفI am not sure that the criss-cross "clipped scarf" effect of this blouse would look appealing on anyone; I find it too fussy and distracting. Luckily Stephanie has many other lovely blouses, which I hope she will favour in future. Lyra
ردحذفI think she is a wonderful woman. However she now needs a good stylist and if she has one she needs to be sacked. She needs more style and structure to her her appearance. She needs jackets and well cut clothes. She needs a complete makeover to match her beautiful personality and her wonderful hair.
ردحذفYes, well said. I may be wrong, but I think her "rewear" rate is rather low. She would be better off wearing again her nice and well fitting pieces, instead of new unflattering ones. Not everybody looks good in almost any style.

حذف@09:41: Maybe high or latest fashion does not interest her, but her looks definitely do interest her! She wears a lot of new stuff, but not necessarily favourable stuff. And she has a nice figure, round and full but in no way "difficult" if you know what you do and how it shows in photographs.

I believe that all that gathered fabric in the front/around the neckline is not truly suiting her. Imho, she far too often wraps herself into an overload of fabric, for whatever strange reasons I simply can't tell. Also, designers like Natan might work - sometimes! - on taller women like Queen Maxima and Queen Mathilde, but rarely on ladies that are rather short by nature. She would look good in coats/jackets of a length stopping shortly over her knees (mid-thigh, perhaps), maybe an asymmetric cut or detail on them, trousers that are not too wide, not sweeping the floor, and she should wear skirts/dresses more often, nothing pleated, of course, but very clean lines.

In daywear, replace the schlumpy pantsuits and trouser & blouse combos with a closet full of beautifully-tailored skirt suits in lovely colors (Stephanie has lovely legs). A coordinating wardrobe of chic scarves, shoes and handbags. A hairdresser to style her gorgeous hair in a variety of elegant updos for all official engagements. That would be my prescription. I don’t care if a closet full of Chanel suits, or constant updos on official engagements, would bring cries of “boring!!”. These adjustments would be more appropriate for a Grand Duchess, and do full justice to Stephanie’s natural beauty and poise.

When your role is as prominent as GDS is, I don’t think it’s a matter of liking or disliking fashion, it’s a matter of looking your best on duty, like putting on a uniform or putting your best foot forward. This is not a good look. The shaping under the blouce is not good. The blouce does nothing for her. This look comes across as just grabbing the first thing in the closet. Same with her hair. A ponytail is always a good option on bad hair days. All in all she really should employ a stylist. There’s nothing wrong in seeking advice on what does and doesn’t look good on you.

Excellent comment, people in high positions should regard their clothing as uniforms and look as good as possible so as not to disappoint, queen Silvia and princess Benedikte are oustanding examples. I am certain that Stephanie has a stylist, but nobody can force her to follow the advice of other parties.
