Dutch King and Queen Take Part in the 2026 NLdoet Volunteer Activity

King Willem-Alexander, Queen Máxima and Princess Beatrix took part in a volunteer activity

On March 13, 2026, King Willem-Alexander, Queen Máxima and Princess Beatrix of the Netherlands took part in a volunteer activity organized by the Oranje Fonds as part of NLdoet. The King and Queen volunteered at a residential care facility in Hoofddorp where elderly and vulnerable people live with appropriate care and support. Together with residents and other volunteers, they helped tidy and improve the inner gardens.

Princess Beatrix helped care for the animals at a children’s farm. NLdoet is organized for the 22nd time this year by the Oranje Fonds. NLdoet takes place on Friday 13 and Saturday 14 March. At more than 7,000 locations in the Netherlands, people can easily become acquainted with volunteer work and experience what it is like to do something for others.
