On Monday, 2 February 2026, King Carl XVI Gustaf and Crown Princess Victoria of Sweden met with the court chaplains affiliated with the Royal Court Parish to jointly celebrate a church service at the Royal Chapel of the Royal Palace in Stockholm.
Earlier in the week, the extraordinary court chaplains had gathered in Stockholm for a meeting. The group consists of approximately 20 priests, representing all dioceses and various devotional traditions within the Church of Sweden. Each court chaplain normally preaches twice a year at the Royal Chapel of the Royal Palace.
The service was led by the Chief Court Chaplain, Bishop Johan Dalman, together with the Court Parish pastor and ordinary court chaplain, Michael Bjerkhagen. Music was performed under the direction of court organist Johannes Skoog.

Victoria’s outfit is bland but looks fine for the occasion. However, the large hair clip looks overly casual - more like something one would wear at the beach or while washing one’s face before bed.

I will add my voice to the NOs to the white hair clip. I think she can use one but a discreet one, the color as close as possible to her hair.
DeleteThe hair clip is not okay. I've got nothing against her contantly wearing her hair up like some do - that's not the issue. I just feel this type of hair clip is too casual for the occation. This is something you grab to pull your hair up out of the way while you give the dog a bath, not something you wear to a church sevice when you are the future monarch.
ReplyDeleteThe suit is excellent. I love the look on the model and I think it looks good on Victoria. But she should have also followed the models lead regarding her hair and just pulled it back simply and added a great pair of elegant, understated, earrings.
Well I will say the big white hair clip is a bit distracting. This jacket was worn a few days ago, seems warm, I am not keen on the placement of the top flaps and buttons.
ReplyDeleteI really don't like that plastic white grip in her hair, although the jacket looks good.
ReplyDeleteThe jacket is well crafted with interesting features that add interest.
ReplyDeleteA big no to the white hair clip. CP Victoria never stops disappointing with the boring hairstyle.

Victoria, perché..? La pinza per i capelli è inguardabile.
ReplyDeleteA mon humble avis, la barrette dans une autre couleur comme transparente aurait mieux convenu pour se combiner avec la veste !
ReplyDeleteDirei proprio di no.
DeleteQuella molletta è brutta in qualsiasi colore.
Did she forget to take the clip out of her hair after having a shower? I love the suit though.
ReplyDelete@01.28 that 'plastic hair grip' looks like mother of pearl and has a design carved into it, so it actually might be rather nice, it compliments the black and white outfit.
ReplyDelete@ 04.51 'boring hairstyle' - she obviously likes it, respect that, but at least it is always neat and well presented when meeting the public.
The suit is a classic, and she wears it well.
Io penso che con la madreperla abili mani creano fermagli per capelli che non somiglino però ad una pinza come quella in foto.
DeletePerhaps you are correct quite possibly it is mother of pearl, and the light reflecting in the photo looks very white. I imagine her hair is not the easiest to tame, so if this works to keep it neat so be it.
ReplyDeleteRegarding the hair clip; I'm thinking she had a busy morning and or was running behind schedule. In addition to the hair clip it also looks like she didn't have time for any makeup. Nothing wrong with just a fresh face but ... you can tell when it's intentional and when it's the result of limitted time. No worries, we've all been there. :)
ReplyDeleteJ'espère que la reine va mieux.
ReplyDeleteShe has blush on her cheeks nd eye makeup
DeleteNice to see them again. Sadly, Q Sivia and Sofia are ill. Hope they will be OK in a few days.
