On February 25, 2026, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex visited the QuestScope Youth Center at the Za'atari Refugee Camp, near Mafraq in northern Jordan. The camp is the world's largest camp for Syrian refugees. As a host country, Jordan is estimated to spend $870 million a year supporting Syrian refugees. Afterwards, the Duke and Duchess visited children evacuated from Gaza who are receiving treatment at the The Specialty Hospital in Amman.

Fashionwise: nothing to write home about. Except two side notes: (1) for public appearances it is advisable to choose fabrics that crinkle less. It just does not look good. (2) Petite women and big wide, too long trousers is not a match made in heaven.

Meghan’s khaki-colored trousers look like linen, which is cool and comfortable but wrinkles. The wide legged look is still “in”. Love her white jacket—a softer version of a suit jacket.

And linen remains popular because it is cool and comfortable in a hot climate. LRB

    2. I have an aunt who is, without question, a snob.
She loves linen and is not worried about the wrinkles.
She always points out that they are “class” wrinkles and totally acceptable.

The khaki trousers look appalling. They did badly on her waist, the belt worsens the look, and the width and length is ludicrously wrong for her petite frame. Check out the photos of her kicking a ball to see that she has surely forgotten her trousers and borrowed a pair of Harry’s.

This feels very wrong. Many MANY organisations provide funding at far higher amounts and do not show up at refugee camps to be photographed. Why these two?

Because they were invited by the head of the WHO who clearly does not agree with your assessment. What are they getting from this if not actual cash? Very significant worldwide coverage for their cause. LRB

I agree with 18:05. I have read the financial statements on the last two years of Archewell and they have donated very little compared to what the foundation has brought in, and given that they have donated little in total, they will be amongst the very smallest donors to these organisations. Having worked in a partner organisation to WHO I know some strange decisions go on, but this is truly maladvised.

Great mission supporting refugees and a children’s hospital. Not about the clothes, but I really like the white jacket. Everything else is fine for the mission. Looking again. I really like those green shoes and I need a new white shirt.

@Anon18:24: "not about the clothes": we *are* here for the clothes. EFor nothing else. But now you mention "supporting": they support themselves. For any other kind of meaningful support they are not relevant enough. So let's talk fashion.

On the topic of fashion: as others have written I agree that the shape of the trousers is off for her. High-waisted and bulky around the stomach, wrinkly, wide-legged... it just doesn't flatter her figure imo.
The white shirt on top made me think she was wearing a hospital/doctor's jacket of some kind. An off-white colour would have worked better.

Did I understand it well that their foundation supported both Palestinians and Israelis? That's interesting, don't think I've heard that before.
I always find myself torn when H&M show up in connection with philantropy. Even though I hope they only mean well, I do have a hard time finding it genuine.

    1. Anon 22.04 Thank you for the link. This is a fabulous example. The pants are perfectly tailored, and fit. The length 100% right. Love the color of these pants. The top looked great. The shoes excellent choice. This is how you do sporty and casual, well fitted outfit successfully, still managing to look stylish and smart.

  10. The white ensemble I want to like, but a disconnect with the fabric. Tweed jacket and stretch fabric pants, with white coloring fabric it is still noticeable, it is something I have never liked, personal taste only. The jacket is fitted; the pants are baggy. The white jacket itself I like.
The Khaki colored pants, too long, too baggy and wrinkled, creased badly. In some photos the crotch of these pants is quite low, imo ill fitting pants.
Special mention of the young girls playing the violins, beautiful! I can only imagine the beautiful music that was played, one of my favorite instruments!.

I am not a fan of the khaki pants, as many have pointed out they do not seem to fit, it looks like she borrowed them from someone. The white ensemble looks much nicer, even if I am not a big fan of the trousers here either. The real winner outfit is Harry stepping out of the car, very nicely put together.

Furthermore her opinion is about the photos not about you, so please don’t attack her in return. You may also give your opinion on the photos but not attack other commenters personally.

What stands out is their continued commitment to service. By visiting Jordan, they help bring attention to humanitarian efforts supporting refugees and local communities. They use their platform to spotlight this work, amplify the organizations on the ground, and encourage public awareness. Showing up, listening, and engaging directly still matters.

It’s easy to tear people down from behind a screen, but the reality is that both Meghan and Harry have spent years doing meaningful humanitarian work — long before the noise, the headlines, or the negativity. Meghan has consistently shown grace in the face of hostility, and Harry has dedicated his life to service. The problem isn’t their character; it’s how quick some people are to spread hate instead of acknowledging compassion, charity, and actual impact. We need more love and less bitterness in this country, not more people attacking others for doing good.”

@11.40 - `continued commitment to service` - whose service? Not the BRF which they decided to leave. But of course travelling to a refugee camp using a private jet does show compassion and humility!!
