The Duchess of Edinburgh paid a two-day official visit to Kenya. During her visit, she held meetings with Kenyan women leaders from various sectors, including security, peacebuilding, and business. At the conclusion of day two of her visit, the Duchess attended a dinner with female leaders of the Government of Kenya in Nairobi. For the occasion, she wore a printed poplin shirt dress by Max Mara.
Max Mara printed poplin shirt dress

The dress looks so fresh and vibrant – the delicate flowers and the light color harmonize beautifully with the fair hair. It's as if the outfit further enhances the her radiance.

Belle robe en popeline imprimée aux couleurs très fraîches ; j’aime beaucoup ses chaussures blanches !
ReplyDeleteGreat look for the Duchess of E. The dress suits her well - chic and stylish, good colours.
DeleteThe vibrant green print of this dress is so captivating. The ruching ( I think) in the front is an interesting feature. I also like the perfect length on Sophie.
ReplyDeleteI agree with your comments. I noticed that in some of the recent postings she has worn dresses that are a bit shorter than her usual length and the duchess looks so nice.
DeleteWhat a wonderful opportunity for cultural exchange and learning. A meeting with the female government leaders!
ReplyDeleteThe Duchess looks beautiful and I agree that the hem length for the dress is just right.
Marvelous! I like Sophie's fit and flare Dior looks but this fitted pencil skirted shirtdress with it's high built in tie wait is terribly flattering. The green is such a great color for her, and the print is fun. She looks wonderful!
ReplyDeleteThis well-fitting dress looks crisp and refreshed looking. I like the style of this dress, love the length, perfect. The design print, and color of the fabric is very attractive, suiting the Duchess well. Love the color of her shoes, great a lighter shade. This is a splendid tour, one of substance, well done Ma'am.
ReplyDeletePerfect length, modern cut and beautiful color on the Duchess…fantastic!
ReplyDeleteA much better look for Duchess Sophie. Nice pattern, much better length, good shoes. Hope we see more outfits like this. She looks great
ReplyDelete7 comments deep by the time I add mine and all are kind, flattering and generous! This is what this blog used to feel like 10 years ago!!! Go ladies!!!
ReplyDeleteThese dresses Suit her much better than the long ones. Beautiful!
ReplyDeleteLength and shoes are much better than, let's say, at other times. The dress itself too with the exception of the bow at the front (I don't know how to call it, even if this is not a real bow). - I am very sorry if some of the ladies here only want to hear positive and flattering things, this is not something a critical fashion blog is created for, so I want to add: The illusion of a two-piece created by this bow is a good design idea, but the solution with a relatively huge bow directly over the stomach is not.
ReplyDeleteAgree on all fronts!
Delete@9:27 this was never designed as “a critical fashion blog”. It has indeed become highly critical, but that’s due to the nature of the commenters. It began as what it still is, a place to share pictures of royals. I don’t know how long you’ve been visiting the blog, but the purpose has long been just displaying pictures and for many years, people just enjoying the pics with no mean or personal comments. It was a place to come and relax and enjoy.
DeleteIs the purpose of a blog not to exchange comments. That’s what makes it interesting. And if something is unflattering, it’s not mean to say so
DeleteThe D of Edinburgh looks lovely, this is a style she often wore a decade ago, shorter length, slimmer skirt etc. - it does suit her more than the really longer clothes she seems to favour now, imo!
ReplyDeleteLovely dress made even better with the pointer shoes!
ReplyDelete( all theses travels on her own for good causes: respect!)
