On 19 February 2026, Queen Letizia visited the Pedro García footwear factory in the Campo Alto industrial estate in Elda, which is celebrating its 100th anniversary. The Spanish footwear company, founded in 1925 in Elda (Alicante) — one of the cradles of shoemaking in Spain — has been managed by three generations of the García family and is renowned for its craftsmanship, innovation, and avant-garde design.
Queen Letizia toured the facilities of the century-old Spanish footwear brand Pedro García, whose products are sold worldwide, to observe the craftsmen’s daily work at first hand. In the 2000s, under the leadership of Pedro García and Mila García, the company achieved international recognition for its minimalist aesthetic and high-quality materials.

It's great to see Letizia wearing a bold piece of jewellry. The gold choker looks great. I like the chunky design of the links. Sorry I can't say the same about the matronly outfit. I don't know why but her boots are sagging at the ankle. Maybe it's a new style? I hope not.
ردحذفI think the boots are designed that way by the factory she’s visiting.
حذفI like the styling of the model. Special sweater. HM wears lately too much black or darker colors, don't do it it's looking older.
ردحذفLetizia has a beautiful face but has always the same hair-style. She should do something more with it.
And please a decent cut!
Interesting to read your comment re black making us look older. I don’t find it aging but elegant whether more dressy or more relaxed, per this outfit.
حذفHer hair-cut is indecent now? 🤔
حذف@17:32 I agree with you. Comments like from 13:45 are from people who apparently do not like dark colors, especially black. A lot of us wear dark colors all year (without "pops of color"). Letizia looks very nice. ~~Ruthie
حذف13:45 I’m pretty sure Letizia keeps this style because she likes it and it suits her and well, … it’s her hair. What more should a woman do with her hair than that?! It’s gorgeously healthy and always neat.
حذفD’accord pour le collier en or à maillons mais pour sa tenue, je ne peux pas donner un avis favorable ; elle nous a habitués à
ردحذفmieux !
She doesn't seem to get any more grey hair, it appears to me that since 2020 she is not getting anymore....pure envy here...I can not say the same about me ;)
ردحذفI love the bulky choker, such a surprise and very nice addition to the outfit

Mayer she van do something about her own boothware…. Oh my. Terrible in the 3rd picture. Where is the stylish queen. This is not royal anymore.
ردحذفI find her ever so stylish! But to be royal is not a matter of clothing by any definition! - she’s royal by marriage not by clothing !
حذفI see a few comments saying Letizia should be wearing something more spectacular. However, she’s visiting a factory at an industrial estate …. So what would you honestly wear? She’s wearing boots by them (I think), and a simple but beautiful skirt and top, with a hint of sparkle… isn’t that enough? Isn’t that lovely without overwhelming? I for one am loving seeing her relax into her more mature version of the role where she seems more focused on the event than wearing queenly sparkle. And I do believe that this is the direction of western nations’ fashion, when you think how women have moved from compulsory skirts in business still in the 80s, to trouser suits being seen as completely acceptable by 2000, except eg at cocktail events, and now trousers acceptable for ladies everywhere… which gradually has been taken up also by the royals, about 1-2 decades slower than the rest of us… and where many western women are heading out most days in Lycra, polyester, tshirts, sneakers, etc, we we also seeing our royal ladies simplify. I find it fascinating! But also heartwarming, to see these ladies able to dress perhaps as they once were (as journalist, publicist, art historian, etc) instead of having to be completely shiny on every occasion. It is nevertheless why I still love Maxima when she brings out the sparkle because it stands out amongst the less shiny outfits.
ردحذفI appreciate your thoughts Anon 19/2/26 20:08 but you are equating Letizia with the average modern woman which by virtue of her being "royal" and having a title "Queen" means she should have higher standards when it comes to conduct and grooming. What is the point of elevating her if she dresses like any other woman who doesn't have that rank? And if she shows up for her events dressed down how are people supposed to recognize who is the visiting dignitary? Lately she fades in the background and some people attending the event are dressed better than her. What is more perplexing is she used to dress more 'spectacular' in the past. If she visited a school she wouldn't necessarily dress to the nines but you could tell she put some effort into her appearance and clothes. I have noticed the average person is becoming more sloppy when it comes to their clothes. Anything goes these days. I see women wearing pyjamas and nightgowns to walk the dogs or yoga pants to work. I hope dignitaries like royals and politicians don't follow suit. I dread the day when the President of the United States shows up to work in the Oval Office wearing jeans.
حذفI appreciate your comment, but agree more with Sandra. 90% of the times I feel I'm overdressed and believe me by your bloggers and my standards I'm just well put together.
حذفAnd I fear indeed that soon at classical concerts, lectures, gatherings, Christmas celebrations, etc enjoying will be wearing jeans, leggings and snickers.
I hope that the royals can contribute to slow this process by always looking royal and groomed and not necessarily overly dressed, just accordingly to the title.

“ having a title "Queen" means she should have higher standards when it comes to conduct and grooming”????? Why this expectation? Where is it written? Fairy tales?!
حذف16:12 that’s a fair comment. When I wrote about changing fashion styles, which they certainly are, I did not write that I look around in amazement and despair :-) how leggings have become normal street wear. Apart from anything, there’s the health question of wearing what is essentially plastic against your skin all day. But my point was, there is no obligation for a queen to dress in a certain way above the rest of her people. The expectation is from fairy stories and no law. She can be herself. I think she is systematically perfectly groomed and in keeping with the realities of life in Spain, where for a long time there has been very high youth unemployment, terrible water problems in large tracts, an unfashionable string of natural disasters, growing poverty etc. Especially after the disgrace of her father in law and to stay relevant, she cannot go out in Versace, Gucci etc everyday, hence has slid to much simpler brands and looks. I admire her choices.
حذفI personally don’t love dark tartan/plaid so the pattern of the skirt isn’t my favorite, but I think the Queen has styled it to its best. The fit and solid color on the sweater is a great balance to the long skirt, highlighted by the fun chunky necklace and boots. I would love to look this chic wearing these same pieces!
ردحذفI like this outfit, I feel its appropriate for the visit, the footwear factory. I love the skirt, it has pleating and nice flair. I like the jumper she added to the mix. Its splendid to see her wearing a necklace and one of substance. The gold hooped earrings were a good choice. Her boots look fine. I feel her hair has let her down here, not styled/groomed.
ردحذفThe skirt pairs well so that the boots are showcased. Dark colours are worn by everyone, however it is better on some than others, hair can be worn as one pleases, however it doesn’t necessarily mean the style is the best look. This queen wears outfits that are in good proportion to her height and size, therefore looks well put together. I feel this is an appropriate outfit for a factory.
