On 23 February 2026, Queen Camilla met with French survivor Gisèle Pelicot at Clarence House in London. Mme. Pelicot was awarded the Legion of Honour in 2025, following the incredible courage, grace, and dignity with which she waived her right to anonymity in France’s largest-ever rape trial. The Queen has worked to support survivors of sexual and domestic abuse for many decades and wrote to Mme. Pelicot following the trial in 2024.

  6. A sleeveless black dress worn with a blouse, shirt or turtleneck inside is one of my favorite looks. It never goes out of style and is always elegant not to mention versatile. Camilla chose a classic white blouse which looks great.

How great to see Queen Camilla meet with Mme Pelicot! Mme Pelicot is a true warrior for the protection of women against sexual abuse and domestic abuse. I so admire her for coming forward and pursuing justice. Bravo to HM for this meeting and highlighting Mme Pelicot in her support of women against sexual and domestic abuse. In terms of fashion--I love Camilla's outfit as it's very simple and I believe this choice allows the purpose of the meeting to be center stage instead of something she is wearing. The dress fits beautifully and the style of blouse is perfectly paired with the dress. Mme Pelicot looks wonderful in her black suit and I love her scarf.

Ein besonderes Treffen. Dennoch möchte ich auch etwas zur Mode schreiben. Die Königin sieht klasse aus, so eine Art Kleid habe ich an ihr noch nie gesehen. Ich finde es sehr gelungen. CC

Well I didn't know her. But everywhere there are so many cases and trials about women who were or are victim of sexual abuse, domestic violence and rape one doesn't has the time to follow all these trials and cases in neighbouring countries too when you are confronted every day with similar cases in your own country.

Ernsthaft, 16.17? Dieser Fall war so bestialisch, dass alle, die lesen können, auch alles erfahren haben. „Die Scham muss die Seite wechseln“!

Please do not overlook that a large part of the media's reporting of this sad and shocking event was made in the French language.
Madame Gisèle is French. The situation and the people involved in the scandal are/were French.
Outside of the French media, the reporting in other languages and in other countries was probably limited or not at all.
The BBC did a very good and informative report in English.which no doubt helped in countries where English is the first or second language.
In photo N°4, the lady dressed in black sitting between the Queen and Madame Gisèle is most probably a French/English translator.
