On February 10, 2026, King Philippe and Queen Mathilde of Belgium invited young journalists to a dinner at the Castle of Laeken. They exchanged views on the role of the press in a democratic society and on the challenges and opportunities that technological developments present for the Belgian media. For the occasion, she wore a scarf-collar blouse by Natan.

Love her purse and trousers they go well together with the neutral top and her shoes disappear with the same shade as trousers so that she appears taller

I liked the top until I saw the long piece of fabric from her shoulder. Not sure of the fabric used for her pants, they fit her long legs. Just an okay outfit.

    1. Je suis d’accord pour son haut original mais pas pour le style de son pantalon qui n’est pas à son avantage ?

    1. I like the whole outfit as well. It includes the right balance of originality in a classic outfit in many respects.

Queen Mathilde's outfit is a rewear. The trousers are a rewear from 2020 and the blouse is from 2021. She wore the outfit sometimes with another white blouse in the past. Her jewelry are the classic diamond earrings she is wearing regularly. The grey clutch is by Diane von Fürstenberg, she is also wearing a pair of grey suede shoes. This white blouse has a scarf she can wear in different ways. I like her hair. I think it has been cut sligthly shorter this time. Queen Mathilde looks very chique in this outfit. The dining room in the Castle of Laeken looks renovated too (I saw a better picture on TV from the ceiling until the floor and the beautiful chandeliers and parquet floor).

  9. The small grey clutch and grey shoes look good, blending well with the grey pants, they fit well, great length and not too baggy. The blouse is beautiful, I love the style and design, its very elegant and individual. This is a wonderful presentation by the Queen, she looks well groomed and attired. Her hair looks lovely.

The 2 men (second pic.) have a strange glance in their eyes and they cannot smile either. At the pic. of the whole group they are in the last row and they still have the same expression on their faces.

Her legs in pants ... are to die for. This is Natan, but an exception: it looks good, and that silly shawl is acceptable because it does not ruin the front look and because it is the only whimsical feature.

In the end Natan has designed so many exceptions that he will finally be accepted on this blog. About the silly shawl, Queen Mathilde's blue dress (by Natan) she wore at the 18th birthday event for CP Elisabeth had the same shawl but it was turned around the queen's neck and ended in the front of her dress. A rather short time later Queen Mary of Denmark wore the same dress (not by Natan) with the same silly shawl. The only difference was the width of the skirt of the dress. Queen Mary's dress had a wider skirt while Queen Mathilde's dress had more or less a pencil skirt.
