On February 17, 2026, King Maha Vajiralongkorn and Queen Suthida of Thailand presided over the Royal Ancestral Tablet Offering Ceremony on the occasion of Chinese New Year 2026 (Buddhist Era 2569), held at the Amphorn Sathan Residential Hall at Dusit Palace in Bangkok. The ceremony was first held during the reign of King Mongkut (Rama IV).
Ancestral tablets, also known as spirit tablets or memorial tablets, are placards used to designate the symbolic seat of a deity or deceased ancestor. The name of the deity or ancestor is usually inscribed on the tablet. Spirit tablets are traditional ritual objects commonly found in temples, shrines, and household altars throughout mainland China and Taiwan.

This lady blows me away with her style and elegance. Her dress is gorgeous with the waterfall flounce at the side of the dress. It's very subtle but makes a dramatic impact. The burgundy color is also very striking along with the brooch on the shoulder. And with Suthida perfect figure, even a tablecloth would look good on her.

حذف@21:27 - there is a YouTube video of the Thai king & queen flying out of Paro airport in Bhutan, he as pilot & she as co-pilot - just google it. Paro is one of the most dangerous airports in the world, so kudos to him. The king & queen of Bhutan are waving beside the runway, aw. She co-pilots on their state visits, etc. He is 73 & still piloting. ~~Ruthie
حذفYou’re right Ruthie, she has apparently gained an ATPL and a 737 type rating. Nevertheless I did find that there was a Drukair pilot in the cockpit for the landing and I think he did it. Only the Bhutanese news sources reveal this - not the Thai (who are not allowed to say anything negative about the king). Only Drukair pilots are qualified as far as I know, as it is intensive training to get the licence endorsement to land there, so unless the King flew in with an instructor multiple times, he would not be allowed to land - despite the royal household saying he did. Having landed there as passenger once I can tell you it’s an extended precision landing with multiple sudden 30 degree turns, and no room at all for error, due to the steep descent, and steep tight Himalayan valleys.
