During the winter months, the Royal Yacht Dannebrog is not at sea but laid up at Frederikshavn Naval Station, where it undergoes maintenance. King Frederik and Queen Mary recently visited the naval station, where Their Majesties followed the maintenance work being carried out on board the Royal Yacht.
This year, the King and Queen will undertake their annual summer cruise from 1 to 4 June 2026. The annual Dannebrog cruise will begin on 1 June in the Municipality of Odense, followed by a visit to the Municipality of Norddjurs on 2 June. After a day at sea on 3 June, this year’s summer cruise will conclude with a visit to the Municipality of Holbæk on 4 June.
