On February 3, 2026, King Charles III and Queen Camilla hosted a reception at St James’s Palace in London to recognise the work of employees of local and regional government who serve communities throughout the UK. Their Majesties were joined by the Duchess of Edinburgh, along with the Duke and Duchess of Gloucester.
The participants consisted of representatives from public service delivery, ranging from social workers and leaders at the forefront of efforts to combat violence against women and girls, to school principals, public health specialists, and disability services coordinators. For the occasion, the Duchess of Edinburgh wore a chocolate-hued maxi dress by Armani.

Oh, non encore cette robe à plastron ; dommage que je ne vois pas entièrement la robe de la duchesse !
ReplyDeleteQueen Camilla is not appropriately dressed for a reception. She is a queen not someone who makes me think of a servant in a black dress with a white apron. This winter she receives a lot of good points from me because she has been wearing often black shoes instead of black boots.
ReplyDeleteWhen you are the Queen, you certainly not only know what’s appropriate - but you get to set the standard.
DeleteI like the Queen's choice of black hose and black shoes. The dress is okay, but I think it is the embroider front, piece, not sure of this. Sophie looks beautiful from what I can see with her dress. The necklace is a lovely addition.
ReplyDeleteThis dress seems like a uniform, difficult to describe, but very unflattering. I like the black tights and pumps but they do not save the unfortunate, masculine look.

… whereas you do not like it, I LOVE that Camilla has her focus on her role and others and not her clothes. I love that she has found a style that she enjoys and then rewears things over and over. Not remotely masculine - rather, a woman approaching 80 and turning up day after day positively, neatly dressed and by all accounts, interested in others and encouraging them too.
DeleteNot my favorite dress for this event. Nice to see Dss Sophie there as well.

Sophie semble très chic er élégante. Mais la robe de la reine devrait être rangée pour toujours. Josée.
ReplyDelete@4.55 - absolutely agree. Well said.
