Albanian President Bajram Begaj and First Lady Armanda Begaj paid a visit to the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan. On February 22, King Abdullah and Queen Rania officially welcomed the President of Albania and the First Lady at Al Husseiniya Palace. During the meetings held at the Royal Palace, ways to expand cooperation and strengthen relations between Jordan and Albania were discussed. For the occasion, the Queen wore a trench dress by Sacai.

The First Lady and men look great and very polished for the arrival ceremony. The Queen is a fashion adventure at times and this trench dress is one of those adventures. I really love the idea of a unique twist on a classic trench coat, but I’m not sure it works. Maybe it’s the large gray rectangle that bunches under the large navy belt or maybe it’s the overall design, but a few small tweaks could make this work.

This dress looks like she is wearing a housemaid's apron, but everything else looks good.

Quelle robe affreuse pour Rania. Josée.

Not fond of this coat at all. It looks like a zipper on the bottom right to take the panel off, perhaps it would look better all one colour. She just looks so buttoned belted up to be indoors. Just odd.

Rania is wearing sunglasses again for the formal photos. I noticed it last week and wondered if she had sore eyes. But it’s interesting two weeks running, n’est-ce pas? I notice the lovely simplicity of the First Lady of Albania’s outfit and the little show of affection between them. Maybe I’m the only one, but I’m not feeling Rania’s clothes choices are particularly apt these last few months.

These are my thoughts written down :-) I was wondering about the sunglasses, too. I thought that she should have taken them off at least for the official photo. CC

  6. Le couple présidentiel est vétu classique mais avec soin ; j’aime le voir quand il se tient par la main !

I prefer Rania in traditional dresses. I think it suits her much better.

  8. I don't understand why such an attractive woman is wearing this coat or is it a dress? It does absolutely nothing for Rania. The design is a mess with the two tone colour combo, the very prominent belt, the overlong sleeves and the odd Peter Pan collar. I especially dislike the belt. I think it would look better without it.

Although it is a bit too long, I like the first lady of Albania's dress. Her hair and make-up are classic and she is looking a natural beauty to me.
Everything concerning Queen Rania's outfit has been described already. It is true the way she dresses lately is very unusual and I really do not like it.

Rania, a new outfit for each occasion, boring and detached from reality. The First Lady of Albania, who is not from a rich country, looks elegant in her subtle style, I even like the length. Do I see a flower on her gown, in lieu of a brooch?

Sakai has some interesting trench coat styles, Q. Rania seems to have taken elements and put them into a bespoke style, the back is a traditional trench, the front may seem odd to some but I would love to see how it unfastens and what it looks then then - love the shoes and handbag. Q.Rania definitely has her own style which I think needs an open mind to appreciate. The First Lady of Albania looks at best `neat` at worst `boring`, imo!

  12. The First lady looks elegant in this simple yet stylish and attractive dress, it appeals to me, it is very flattering on her. I like the design and fit of this dress, it suits her so beautifully. Her hair and makeup look really good here. Is she wearing some sort of brooch?
The Queen's dress is different! The extra-long belt is incredibly very distracting, hanging and flapping. There are various features of this dress, but I am not sure they align well, together. The only item I like here, is the handbag.

Not the best look for Q Rania, also too casual for this visit. The Albanian first lady looks very elegant.
