  1. Such a lovely lady! The outfit of the woman next to her, in beige/camel, looks very good but I think shoes in a contrasting colour would have looked even better.

The lady in beige/camel dress or top + skirt her shoes are in the fashion color for the coming spring and summer season. I just read in my digital newspaper that the color (caramel, camel, ...) is considered as classic and can easily be worn with other summer colors. I think my light beige/greyish shoes will do too the coming spring and summer.
Duchess Stéphanie looks good too in her off-white blouse and cognac brown trousers. Everything fit as well the blouse which has the excellent length as the trousers.

Ooh we are just here actually discussing fashion and not individuals. Excellent! I like that a neutral colour comes in fashion because it’s rewearable for years… but this shade can really wash many of us out. This lady looks great full length where the colour is more golden and washed out in the seated pose due to the colour, her colour and lighting. So it can be great in many ways but risky as many will buy it because it’s fashionable not because it suits them. And while I realise that’s a risk with all colours, none more so than beige.

Her trousers are just a tiny bit too tight and it shows. Not a big problem, but noticable, andd a skirt with length just under her knee would be the best antidote against little hiccups like this. Everyone would look at her really fab legs instead of ... yes, the place where the trousers crease most. That was exactly my thinking too, the fit of the trousers is not quite right and draws the eye to the a little too tight area. It would be nice to see Stephanie more often in nice skirts and dresses. She looks lovely otherwise, as always.

Yes skirts suit her very well. Is she wearing two different shoes here? Whatever, their colour is lovely.

      i agree, skirts/dresses for a curvy figure

Nice business casual outfit, colours are lovely. My only negative is the drawn in eyebrows, need a lighter touch. She doesn’t need much makeup just a bit of blush on her cheeks and lipstick to shine.

The shape of her brows have been like this since she was engaged to Prince Guillaume. They are certainly not too thick or too dark. The lady next to her uses too dark eyeshadow and too dark eyeliner and she is blond too.

Yes I agree that the eyebrow shape is lovely but that the eyebrow pencil on them is heavy for her gentle colouring.

A natural beauty, but please someone get her a better stylist. I really don’t think royals need to be thin/skinny, but I do think all royals who spend so much on their clothing need to have professional help in getting outfits that suit their shape. LRB

She no doubt has access to the best stylists in her country and enjoys what she chooses to wear. It’s very “her” to choose trousers, low heels, and an elegant untucked blouse. That’s ok. In fact it’s great; we are each allowed to use the fashion we enjoy.

I love these warm colours for Stephanie.
The gorgeous pants are indeed the wrong cut for her figure, and the blouse... the sleeves are draping strangely on her arms, and I think closed cuffs would show off her dainty wrists better. Again this is an issue of the wrong sleeve cut for Stephanie.
Another thing that would look more beautiful on Stephanie is a more open or lower neckline. High necklines look good if you have a long neck -- as we see with the high neckline on the blonde beside her -- but for Stephanie, I think the open-neck styles she usually wears suit her better. Lyra.

Si le chemisier avait été plus long nous n’aurions pas vu que le pantalon ne lui allait pas. Josée.

  10. Stephanie is a natural beauty. She is true to herself, wearing what she feels comfortable in and what she feels suits her, more power to her. I personally feel the pants are a bit too snug a fit, and it is noticeable. The blouse nice, but not a lot of give in this blouse, I realise this is the style. She possibly does have a stylist, but is happier in the style she has no, that is fair enough. It would be interesting though if a stylist was given free rein what the GD would look like in other style choices.
I love the camel colored outfit the blonde lady is wearing, this is very attractive and elegant ensemble. I enlarged the photo, for a better look. The skirt of the dress, pleating is wonderful. The fit of the dress is perfect. The darker colored belt adding definition. The shoes I like this color. Her up style hair looks well groomed and stylish. The subtle simple, elegant necklace and her earrings were the perfect finishing touch.

      Hello@ Ava,
thank you so much for your lovely post.
You know, sometimes I feel like I am hindered on this blog, I would like to tell more about designers and clothes in general but I refrain from doing that.
I feel some people may be bothered.
Fact is that- generally speaking- Italians have a natural ...I do not know how to define it...an inborn "freak" about fashion or the like, which, of course, is found in so many people all over the world.
I'll tell you a secret: I loved looking at my mum's closets since my tender years, not just for fun but because I was genuinely interested in her fashion picks.
I remember myself " taking notes" in my mind while she was getting ready to go out.
I learned a lot from this practice.
She had a wonderful , natural sense of colour and knew how to make the most of her clothes combos.
I also visited shops with her as she was the best fashion mentor I could have hoped to have to select my own purchases.
I know I'll never live up to her standards , but I learned a lot for sure.
Hope you are doing well, I'm heading off to work within hours.
      Hugs!

    4. P the original. Lovely comment, thank you. Whatever you share, I absorb! on designers/clothes etc... I'm never too old to learn! Hints, practices and knowledge from others are to me, invaluable, no matter the source, of course my personal thoughts only! Aw how beautiful, I find this so interesting, thank you for sharing. Observations are key, and you put this into practice. This is wonderful. I can only imagine how Mum, looked in her ensembles, she obviously had an interest/love of fashion and all that related to it. An inherited quality perhaps, marvelous. Thank you, yes all well. Take good care and thank you.

Beige and camel can be fashionable as long as they will - as a standalone colour, they are blergh. IMHO, the pretty lady in blergh would look much better with 1. lipstick and/or 2. some more prominent necklace or 3. in a white blouse with her camel skirt. Somebody wrote above about the high neck blouse on Stephany, I agree: a long neck (like Charlene, e.g.) goes better with this type of blouse. Or if it has to be a high neck blouse: I would opt for an updo when wearing it.

  14. A good colour combination on GD Stéphanie. The trousers, however, are - and this has been pointed out by several commenters now - a little too tight in the upper part. I would like to add that I also find the length not quite right. A tad longer (not dragging on the floor, though) would have been great. Yes, the lady in the camel knit ensemble looks phenomenal.
