On Saturday, 24 January 2026, Countess Athena turned 14. She is the daughter of Prince Joachim and Princess Marie. Countess Athena was born a Princess of Denmark on 24 January 2012 in Copenhagen and is included in the line of succession to the throne. On the occasion of her birthday, the Royal Court released two new photos of the Countess, taken by Jakob Kirk. Countess Athena lives with her family in Washington.
