Lovely fitting suit, not a fan of the downward angle of the hem, but it does provide interest to it. Her hair is her choice however it lacks the bounce a shoulder length would give which is more attractive. I find this length does not enchance her face as well.

Yes interesting jacket idea. When it’s just the jacket without a human in, it’s obviously a design idea that looks good. But as soon as it’s on a human, it looks misbuttoned to my eyes, both on Catherine and the model. The red and white are probably chosen to go with the navy uniform of the rugby players for the full British flag colours. I like how you wrote your thoughts on her hair; very fair and kindly stated 19:35.

I don't like these jackets with an uneven hemline, just as I don't like skirts with an uneven hem, but the red color suits her. In certain royal families it is a custom to laugh with their mouth wide open. To me it looks not done, but I suppose it is because of my age and because of my education.

Re mouth open, I guess when there are a team of photographers taking 1000 pics in the few minutes they’re authorised to click away, the set of photos is then enormous for the photographer to select from to present to their editor or to add to a site where they can be sold. So a photo with a mouth open can end up being a focus photo, but it was simply a moment of normal conversation / greeting / surprise / laughter which we will all do but not hey focussed on! So it looks like a major representation when it’s actually a micro second in time.

    3. Agree about the smiling with the mouth wide open. It is just the eagerness to be photographed smiling, it is so fake. I really really dislike it.

The fashion highlight for me here is the delightful uniform of the women’s team. Love this fresh navy and white incl white sneakers. The scarf is lovely especially when worn as intended around the neck.

She's looking better than she has in a very long time. Almost pre-her diagnosis.

Great rewear. Don’t like the blouse. Too close to the jacket lapel, odd neckline as a result

It’s a lovely suit, but it’s hanging on her. The length of the trouser is draping on the floor. I think Catherine suits the straighter leg fit,it gives her a far better shape.
We know Catherine has cut back on her duties for obvious reasons, but that gives her the opportunity to really polish her look when she is on duty. We can see her hair line is in need of a touch up. She certainly needs a make up shake up, this look has her looking pale and gaunt. I lovely red lip and blush would have brought life to her face. It’s the finer details that make an event memorable for the participants.

I have the feeling that after her procedures/sickness she wanted/wants to change her style and the looks from last year haven't been her usual nor a very different/distinctive style just yet, this includes the length and color of her hair.
I also have the feeling that Queen Letizia is onderging a similar proces, after leaving her signature heels, I mis the wow factor in both ladies... Or it could also be that in changing??

I too miss the glamour that both ladies used to display in their regular outfits. While I like this outfit, I really wish the Princess would cut even a few inches off her hair. It would look so much better.

  11. I don't like uneven hem's on dress and jacket hemlines, but this jacket is the exception. The first time the Princess wore it I loved it and the same now. Its distinctive and different which I find appealing. Not just another red jacket. The close up photo, shows it may not fit quite as well, understandable for obvious reasons. I love this shade of red, she wears this color well. Her earrings are pretty, not keen on her necklace. The blouse, not sure why but I don't like the blouse with this jacket. Its great to see her out at this function and looking well.

The style of the jacket is too baggy on her; red shoes look a bit cheap. The blouse looks like a bit of an after thought. Perhaps she needs to follow Sophie's lead it is a sporting group; plain trousers and a nice sports jacket and trainers (Tara)

Great color, but same story…monochromatic suit and long hair with curls.

Monochromatic dressing like the late queen may make some sense for what she does. It may be strategic. I don't find it really interesting or something to copy. She always looks lovely, whatever she is wearing. The clothes don't matter too much. She is a great role model. I would be more inclined to behave the way she behaves, than to pop on a full red suit.

The cut of this trouser suit emphasizes her thinness. I’m not a fan of the uneven hem which also makes her look thinner. The pants are not good on her. Her hair is too long. Everything in the picture draws her features down and straight. I like the color of this suit, is all. I also like her radiant smile.

  19. The shape of the jacket is very unusual and it looks like someone made a mistake when they were cutting out the pattern and were too lazy to fix it. It is not pleasing to the eye. The pockets also look off. Sometimes designers are too creative and it just doesn't work.

The Alexander McQueen suit is superbly cut, red represents Wales. I do not see any hair extensions and doubt if any are used or needed. Cheap shoes, definitely not - the PoW doesn't wear the tacky plastic side ones like a certain queen.
'In certain royal families it is a custom to laugh with their mouths wide open.' Such inside knowledge, which royal families? I, like many, find it difficult to laugh without opening the mouth.
Too thin, she is slim like her mother, sister, Q.Leticia and thousands more.
@06.02 she is meeting a team in their 'smart' uniform at a reception in Windsor Castle not in a leisure centre!
