On the occasion of the New Year, on 28 January 2026, King Philippe and Queen Mathilde, in the presence of Prince Laurent and Princess Claire, welcomed the Belgian federal and regional authorities to the Royal Palace in Brussels. On this occasion, the King delivered his annual address to the authorities of the country. Approximately 500 guests attended the reception.
Such a nice fitting dress on the queen, perfect for her figure imo.

This dress looks splendid, it has a very pretty yoke, which adds some interest. Otherwise, the dress could have been on the bland side. The skirt of the dress has nice movement, swish happening! Her shoes and gorgeous bag are a wonderful color. Her hair seems a little longer, I like it. Very soft and natural.
ReplyDeleteQueen Mathilde wore this dress for the 1st time last year as a day dress at the enthronement of GD Guillaume and GD Stéphanie of Luxembourg. Since then the royalty watchers in Belgium are wondering who designed this dress. They say it is probably by Dior. Her handbag is the lady Dior and also her shoes are by the same designer. The pendant earrings are made of diamonds. This wine red colour suits the queen very well. In fact Queen Mathilde looks good in any red colour. That is why she has so many red clothes.

The skirt is not brown but cream or off white. On photo N° 2 the light is different therefore the skirt looks darker.
