Mary looks better with this hairstyle than hair hanging in her face. Beautiful brooch! I hope that she wears more historical pieces!

Agree! Her hair away from her face is more flattering in my opinion.

    2. Further agreement here. The Princess of Wales could follow her lead

Looks like she wore blue, black and white in honor of the Estonian flag. Very nice.

Very nice coat, good fitting though it seems to me the sleeves look a bit off in construction, or width, can’t put my finger on it. Maybe because she was wearing a dress of heavier fabric underneath. Lovely brooch at the neck line.

I like the blue tweed dress and adapted headband. The only thing I would change is the neckline (navy collar). I prefer the same neckline as on Queen Letizia's dark grey tweed dress she is wearing today.
The collar is not necessary and doesn't make it more beautiful, on the contrary. Queen Mary could wear the brooch on her left shoulder. I also find the dress a bit too long and with the knee height boots a bit too dark and sombre. With all the frozen snow outside it is understandable that she is wearing boots.

The brown gloves don't match the blue coat and black boots.

    1. Yes, you are right. It looks as if she had forgotten her own gloves and borrowed these ones.

One of Europe's best Royal love stories, they seem so in love after all of these years. I love this brooch and I also love the Cannaught sapphire brooch Queen Margrethe gave Queen Mary when Prince Christian was born, it is more elaborate, but both are beautiful and my favorite royal Mary is so beautiful. I get excited every time I see her!

I like the dress, though I’d have preferred it without the collar. The brooch is stunning. I’m so pleased that QM has opened up the faults and is bringing life to pieces we haven’t seen in a while.

I like the coat, color, cut etc. The boots with that block heel look great with it. The gloves are too sporty. The hat is very silly, a mere nod to the strict protocol of a State visit. The dress is a little too prim and buttoned up, especially with that attached Peter Pan collar. Love the sapphires.

I find a Peter Pan color on a mature woman is not becoming

Non, un col Claudine n'est jamais pointu, il est arrondi.

That is a very "Mary" dress and it looks great on her, the coat following the princess lines of the dress. First lady's hat and coat are lovely.

  16. The dress is lovely, stylish and fits well. Love the addition of the perfectly placed sapphire and diamond brooch, looks wonderful as does her earrings. Her Navy coat looks warm, her accessories are a good choice.
