On Thursday, January 22, 2026, Queen Máxima of the Netherlands paid a working visit to primary school De Stromen in Alphen aan den Rijn. The school is participating in the new programme Making Room for Creativity. Through this programme, More Music in the Classroom helps schools organize creative education by making use of initiatives and collaboration opportunities within the school’s regional network.

The More Music in the Classroom Foundation is committed to providing structural music education and a broad cultural offering for children and young people for whom this is not self-evident. Its aim is to broaden pupils’ horizons and contribute to the cognitive, social, and creative development of children. Queen Máxima supports this mission in her role as honorary chair of the foundation.

    Once again, lovely outfit, lovely look, and perfect for a school visit.

    Nanny Mcphee. Even not a classic outfit just looking like an old schoolteacher from the '50's.
    This brown is dull. Her hair is fine and neat.
    But she looks happy meeting people.

    A very nice brown / black combo for the Queen. And her hair looks neatly pulled into a top bun, similar to what Princess Victoria wears. The difference is that Maxima rotates her hair styles frequently which keeps her fashion looks interesting. Earrings and bracelet - not over done with jewelry. I like it.
