On January 16, 2026, Queen Mary of Denmark visited the SIND project “Young Nature Friends” (Unge Naturvenner) at the Amager Nature Centre in Copenhagen. She was welcomed by SIND Chair Mia Kristina Hansen, project manager of “Young Nature Friends” Rikke Kristiansen, and biologist and nature guide at the Danish Nature Agency, Jes Aagaard. During the visit, the Queen also joined a group walk in nature, allowing time for discussions about the young participants’ experiences, well-being, and the importance of spending time outdoors together with others. Since 2020, SIND – the National Association for Mental Health – has actively worked with nature as part of its efforts to promote mental well-being.
