On January 14, 2026, Queen Mary of Denmark attended the revival premiere of “Indenfor Murene” at the Old Stage of the Royal Danish Theatre in Copenhagen. Queen Mary was scheduled to attend the event together with Queen Margrethe of Denmark, but Queen Margrethe had to cancel her attendance due to a mild cold.

Henri Nathansen’s classic “Indenfor Murene” is one of the most frequently performed Danish dramas. The play had its world premiere at the Old Stage of the Royal Danish Theatre in 1912—the same stage on which the drama is now once again being performed. For the occasion, Queen Mary wore a purple velvet suit by Temperley London.

    Fashion winner for me is the young girl. What a gorgeous combination. When I was that age I would have been thrilled to be dressed like this. Mary also looking great as always!

    This deep velvet purple pantsuit looks stunning, the color is glorious. I always loved the fit of this pantsuit. The jacket is gorgeous and fits perfectly as does the pants. I'm not sure but it looks to be her shoes are the same color.

    Très bon choix que ce velours violet mais avec le chemisier dans une couleur plus claire, son look aurait été parfait !

    Stunning colour on Queen Mary. She suits the strong jewel colours. The cut of the suit is fabulous.

    Gorgeous suit! Another great re-wear. The color is so flattering. I prefer the camisole top rather than the black top she’s wearing tonight. Overall QM looks lovely.
