Perfect fits well, lovely velvet bandeau, a scarf to use in a chilly church.

It was very cold on Sunday. I am surprised Queen Mathilde didn't wore a coat but a coat dress, which is less warmer than a real coat especially since she already had a cold on the reception for the foreign ambassadors. On the Belgian websites the royalty watchers say she is wearing a new coat dress by Meer Couture, but I think she already had this coat dress before. She also has the same coat dress in 1 or even 2 other colors. The velvet bandeau is new by her go to hatmaker Fabienne Delvigne. I also like her night blue tights and other accessories.

  6. I can only surmise the church was be freezing. Love the Navy color, very smart and stylish. Her outfit looks warm and snug. She looks stylish. Love the gloves, scarf, and blue accessories. Her drop pearl earrings, very elegant.

    1. In spite of all these +s, I remain on the fence : I don't really like the hair styling which seems to be a halfway bun. And she should have a brighter lipstick.

In the church it was warmer than outside. There was a lot of cold wind outside which made it feel colder than the real t°. On pics 4 & 6 you can see the red carpet on the floor where the king and queen have their seats. In Belgium since several years one started to put red carpets on the cold floors of the old cathedrals and churches. On the spots were the people who are coming to mass and ceremonies can sit down it is much comfortable than before. Now one does not leave the church with frozen feet.

Ich würde Ihre alle Gürtel wegnehmen, die sind für sie nicht von Vorteil.
Sonst sieht Sie sehr hübsch und einnehmend aus.

This a good choice for QM. The color is flattering. The belt gives it shape.I like the hair band type fascinators.
I wonder are the pearl drop earrings a recent addition to QM jewellery collection. They’re quite exquisite.

Queen Mathilde has more than one pair of pearl drop earrings. Some of them she can wear in different ways. The pearl earrings one can see here are very simple and are not new. I think she has them since a very long time. If you google "Queen Mathilde jewelry" you can see an interesting explanation (in English) of a big part of her jewelry on You Tube.

Pas terrible ce look. La Reine devrait alléger ses accessoires : pas de chapeaux, serre-tête, bibis, bijoux trop gros, talons trop haut: ça alourdit ses traits et silhouette, la vieillit et grossit.
