On January 28, 2026, Crown Princess Victoria of Sweden visited the Royal Swedish Academy of Music (Kungl. Musikaliska Akademien) in Stockholm to familiarise herself with its activities and to meet the staff of the secretariat. Crown Princess Victoria is, together with Queen Silvia and Princess Christina, a “First Member” of the Royal Swedish Academy of Music. King Carl XVI Gustaf is the patron of the Royal Swedish Academy of Music.

During the visit, the Crown Princess received, among other things, presentations on the initiatives Singing Children, Young Thoughts on Music, Future Church Musicians, and Living Musical Heritage. The Permanent Secretary, Fredrik Wetterqvist, also briefed the Crown Princess on current issues concerning the Academy.
