At the invitation of King Willem-Alexander, the President of the Republic of Finland, Alexander Stubb, and his wife, Suzanne Innes-Stubb, are making a two-day State Visit to the Netherlands. On December 11, 2025, King Willem-Alexander and Queen Máxima officially welcomed the Finnish President and Mrs. Innes-Stubb at Dam Square in Amsterdam.
Afterwards, the King and Queen, together with the Finnish President and Mrs. Innes-Stubb, visited the Amsterdam Drone Lab at Amsterdam’s historic naval dockyard, the Marine Etablissement, where they learned about various civilian applications of drones and their relevance for the energy and defence sectors. In the evening, the King and Queen will host a State Banquet at the Royal Palace in Amsterdam.

Wouah j adore le style et la couleur de sa tenue, le bibi assorti à la pointe de chaussures et de la pochette

Ugh the dreaded uneven hem, otherwise quite lovely. Colours, fit very. Ice
ReplyDeleteQueen Maxima looks marvelous here and I love everything about her look except the hemline on the skirt. This shade of blue is beautiful on her and I love how she has styled it using the dark green accessories. Mrs. Innes-Stubb looks very elegant--her style is very chic.

Entirely agree with you. A beautiful outfit marred only and only slightly by the hemline on the coat. She looks wonderful
DeleteI wish the sloping hemline will go away soon. It is fine for a ballgown but not shorter skirts where you can see the inside of the dress. At least this one does not have a lining or seam showing.
ReplyDeleteOtherwise both ladies look great. Love the pale blue colour and hat. Mrs Innes-Stubb looks very chic and it is great to see a slightly lower heal on an elegant shoe.
Gorgeous! I love the color combo of the teal with the sky blue - beautiful! Maxima or her stylist - has real knack for combining colors correctly. The First Lady looks great also. I'm surprised it isn't colder in Amsterdam in December? I would expect snow but it appears to be much warmer.
ReplyDelete@anon at 16:20, this autumn/winter has been very warm also here in the Nordic countries. I live in southern Finland and today we had +8 Celsius degrees and there is no snow to wait at least in couple of weeks. The nights are still very warm too. Climate change is a fact.
DeleteBoth ladies looking good and elegant in their own fashion choices. I especially like the cape/jacket of Suzanne and the colour of Maxima's outfit.
We hardly have snow, maybe maximum 2 days a year. At the moment the Dutch weather is unusually warm for the time of year, around 13°C today.

Stunning turnout by both ladies! MR
ReplyDeleteExcellent hat and hair for Maxima. There’s a lovely pic here of the back of two ladies’ shoes and hemlines, which has me reflecting on how much I love the proportions of Mrs Innes-Stubb’s shoes versus Maxima’s towering heels; which although popular in height with several ladies, to my eye, cause throw off the proportions of shoe to heel and leg to foot. Interesting also for me that Maxima’s hemline not being straight once in movement is fantastic - and of course clothes are generally in movement although here we see them static.
ReplyDeleteI don't like the green hat matching the light blue Suit of the Queen. And there is far too much material in the skirt. Mrs. Stubb is a very elegant lady.
ReplyDeleteAgree, it is too much for such a wide skirt. The high heels donot match with the skirt length either. Nice try but a bit of an overkill.
DeleteMrs. Innes-Stubb, looks very attractive. Her outfit looks lovely, well groomed and attired.
ReplyDeleteQueen Maxima looks beautiful in this ensemble. Love the color of her suit. The only thing I don't like is the hemline. Her earrings and brooch are stunning. The brooch is a lovely addition.
Magnifique sauf la taille ridicule mais hélas habituelle des talons de Maxima.
ReplyDeleteI love the outfits of both ladies. I'd preferred an even hemline on Queen Maxima's skirt. The skirt is a rewear, the jacket is new. They are both by Natan. The wife of the Finnish president is wearing a fashionable jacket. That is the type of jacket I had in mind for the Princess of Wales. It creates volume and can easily be worn on top of a coat dress or dress.
ReplyDeleteI wonder if the little green ? navy ? brooch Queen Maxima is wearing on the left side (for us on the right side) of her jacket has a meaning ? I love the aquamarine earrings.
The little hat by Philipp Treacy looks good on Queen Maxima. This is the type of hat which is worn by a lot of royal ladies Meghan Markle, Duchess Sophie, Princess Ariane, .....
Blue is the color of the day.
ReplyDeleteI forgot to mention one can see in the back of 2 pictures (N° 2 & 5) the Christmas lights in the streets of Amsterdam. At 4 o'clock in the afternoon one must already put the lights on because it is getting dark. Yesterday was a sunny day and there was much longer daylight.
ReplyDeleteHer jacket and sleeves don't fit well, many wrinkles. The skirt is too voluminous.
ReplyDeleteTwo very lovely looking ladies (Mrs. Innes-Stubb imho marginally ahead of Queen Maxima). The gents are quite dapper as well.
ReplyDeleteQueen Maxima aquamarines jewellery is next level exquisite. I want to love her ensemble, but the hemline and stiffness of the material is not one of her most striking looks. I do like the dark green accessories.
ReplyDeleteFinlands 1st lady is an attractive woman, and I appreciate the simplicity of her choice.
Lowri.
Agreed!
DeleteMrs Innes-Stubbs looks effortlessly chic and modern. Q. Maxima`s look is dated. High/low hems, are they still in vogue? Plastic sided shoes, really! They need to be discarded. The jacket is poorly tailored, and the hat is so 1950`s but tames the hair. Nice earrings.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful outfit of First Lady Suzanne Innes-Stubb
ReplyDeleteI love the 50ies vibe of both ladies!!
ReplyDeleteGreat look for both ladies.
