Very true that is a comment I've heard more than once from people who met them personally. People are feeling immediately at ease in the company of King Philippe and Queen Mathilde.

The dress is okay but makes her looking old. Maybe the hair styling is part of that too. The curls at the bottom outside is not verg modern. Lately she had a much younger style.

Dear 23:38, when a woman is in her early 50s she doesn’t have to wear younger or more modern clothes; she can be and hopefully is: delightfully herself! I’m not sure what you mean re curls on the outside?! But from my perspective it’s a beautiful dress for her and she looks just lovely.

Wonderful colour, fits well, must be a Natan based on the cut of the sleeves.

  5. I love the deep green color of this dress. Just under the waistline, the pleating (I think that is what it is) the dress doesn't sit/flow well, down to the hip area. I like the color of her accessories and the addition of the brooch.

Great colour indeed. A tad too shiny - in my opinion. But a good fit and it works well for Mathilde.

Queen Mathilde's dark green dress is a rewear probably by Dries Van Noten, according to the royalty watchers. She is wearing a brooch by Percosi Papi with a soft green quartz also called green amethyst. She wore probably earrings by the same designer and with the same stone, unfortunately not visible on these pictures. One can see that they are really happy for the new warrant holders.

  8. Ce modèle de robe aux petites manches est parfait surtout dans cette couleur verte ; dommage, je ne vois pas bien sa broche !
