On the occasion of International Volunteer Day, Grand Duke Guillaume and Grand Duchess Stéphanie attended the presentation ceremony of the 2025 Volunteer Merit Award hosted by the Agence du Bénévolat Luxembourg. A highlight of the evening was the awarding of the Prix du Mérite du Bénévolat to Jacqueline De Valentin-Bourg for her long-standing commitment, presented by Grand Duke Guillaume and Grand Duchess Stéphanie.
Since 2002, the mission of the Agence du Bénévolat has been to promote and develop volunteering in Luxembourg among organisations, volunteers and public authorities. International Volunteer Day (5 December) has been officially observed worldwide since 1985 following its declaration by the UN General Assembly.
Stephanie is such a treasure. Beautiful smile, face, hair, legs, body.
ردحذفShe looks soo real and sweet. The jacket makes her slim because of the print. And is looking good in the dress and same color shoes. Much better shoes than let's say 3 months ago!

Had to laugh at the comment; she looks more modern now. The look is straight from the late 60's through the mid 1970's from the dress, jacket, light colored nylon stockings with a slight sheen, to the awful shoes. The look is classic of all the high school/2ndary school teachers of that era.
حذفGD Stéphanie is making the same mistake as her mother in law by wearing blouses with too deep necklines. I like her checked jacket. Shoes are good too. She should have chosen another clutch in brown or another color which appears in her jacket.

حذفI think the point in common between Stephanie and her mother in law is simply that they are (with all due respect) heavy chested. It is much harder to dress with simple tops on that body form and if she and I (flat chested) wear the same top, hers will look lower neck-lined than mine. For this reason I don’t think it’s fair to judge these ladies or say they have made mistakes. They are doing their beautiful best with much harder to dress body types. Nobody much likes being compared with their mother in law or told they’re making the same mistake as hers, so as that’s been said several times here in recent comments, i think we can move on.

حذفNobody likes to be body shamed either. Her blouse doesn't fit because she is "heavy chested", but because she choose the wrong blouse for her body type.
Perfect, warm and well-fitting outfit for Stephanie. Love the shoes. All very polished but approachable.

ردحذفBut the skirt -- it's Ok , but to balance the visual weight and bulk of the thick jacket, knee boots are needed -- or else, maroon pants.
"Bare" legs worn in winter with thick bulky upper clothing is a look which was commonplace decades ago, before the 1970s made pants suits for women acceptable. It was considered a classic ensemble back then, but for me this look now has a rather old-fashioned feel. Wearing vintage classics is tricky; I'd prefer to see Stephanie stick with the modern classics. Lyra

ردحذفLa veste lui va bien et les coloris sont harmonieux, mais je suis tout à fait d'accord avec Lyra, c'est la jupe qui ne va pas (surtout avec ce style de chaussures).

Stephanie, you poor lass. I cannot imagine how difficult it must be for you to have had to step into a larger role, yet still have two little boys at home to raise. The stress of the position, the desire/need to alter your life style (instead of being a stay at home mum) cannot be easy. With that said, please hire a stylist. It will take the strain off your daily decisions of what is appropriate/not appropriate to wear to certain events. I am saddened to see you wearing low cut v-neck blouses/tops, to events where you bend over to talk with young children, or disabled folks in wheel chairs. MT wore those kinds of blouses/tops for years, and it was just not a pleasant view.
ردحذفBy bringing a stylist into your life, it will make things so much easier, you'll find your confidence growing as you learn what suits you, how to dress for certain events, the use of color, shapes, jewelry, accessories, and beauty to shine through. This is NOT a negative comment, it is meant as a tiny bit of advise. Have courage to push through this transition time in your life, you can do it, of this I am confident in saying.
I agree with this thoughtful comment. A good stylist will make GD Stephanie's life easier, more time to focus on family and still be confident in knowing you are "dressed for success" for every event you attend. Stephanie, you are very deserving and worth the price of a stylist on your staff.
حذفStylist usually recommend V neck for a mature figure. I see nothing wrong with her choice, sometimes it’s the fabric that is too soft for the design.

حذفI do not agree with your comment. Who do you think you are to give advice to an adult woman and to say that her neckline is not a pleasant view. To me this is the same as body shaming.
I do not always like the fashion choices of GD Stéphanie, but she is an intelligen lady, if she feels necessary to change something in the way she dresses, it is entirely up to her to decide if she will engage a stylist or not. Maybe she has already one, who knows.
Who are you that you think you can give advice to the GD on how she should organize her life ? She has a staff already to do that for her.
By the way, the two little boys are going to school. If she wishes to go to school in the afternoon to pick them up, she has a chauffeur who is driving her to their school. If she cannot go herself nanny will go in her place to take the boys home. She has more facilities than any other working mother. If they can manage the raise of their children with less means, a GD shoulds be able to do it too.
Basically I agree that a stylist would take away from her shoulders the burden of putting together the right image. However, provided she finds the right person who would also take into account her personality, rather than concentrating on "having everything right", which is apparently not her main objective. People have also to be accepted as they are, rather than focusing on "perfection". Royal ladies are not working for the fashion industry.
