On December 19, 2025, Japanese Emperor Naruhito, Empress Masako, and their daughter, Princess Aiko, visited the New National Theatre in Shibuya to attend a performance of the ballet The Nutcracker. The production featured new choreography by former Royal Ballet dancer Will Tuckett. This marked the first time the Imperial Family has attended a ballet performance together as part of an official engagement.

ReplyDeleteI´m thrilled to see Aiko in something else than an ill-fitting pastel skirt suit. This burgundy dress is delightful in both colour and style.

ReplyDeleteThe Empress looks beautiful. I love the black pantsuit and accompanying bright pink silk blouse. The jacket looks to be velvet, but I could be wrong. Love the beautiful single strand pearl necklace, very elegant. Princess Aiko looks beautiful. I love the fabric and pattern, the color is rich and suits her beautifully. The style of dress looks great. Love the matching colored clutch.

Princess Aiko looks very pretty in her pink dress. If only she would stand right up with her arms straight on each side of her body her clothes would be fitting much better.

ReplyDeleteThe Empress looks superb in the black velvet suit with a pop of color on the camisole. Just enough color to allow the suit to be the focus. I also like the family color theme,with the Emperor himself wearing a matching color in his tie.
