On December 25, 2025, King Frederik X and Queen Mary of Denmark, accompanied by their children—Crown Prince Christian, Princess Isabella, Prince Vincent, and Princess Josephine—attended the High Mass at the Church of Our Lady (Vor Frue Kirke) in Copenhagen. The Danish royal family traditionally celebrates Christmas in Aarhus, but this year they are celebrating Christmas at Amalienborg.
Prada belted wool coat

Queen Mary must be taking fashion tips from Duchess Sofie. While the coat is a beautiful dark teal, it is way too long and even though the shoes seem to match the trousers, they look out of place for Christmas in December. A dark gray suede might have paired better. Daughters are dressed lovely and fashionable. Prince Christian looks different - perhaps his weight loss and no longer the cute round checks - more chiseled face features here.
ReplyDeleteStill no chin
DeleteThe king teal coat is gorgeous. How can it be “too long” in the darkest coldest time of the year?! Just right, I say. It’s a beautiful colour to coordinate with many other colours - I wonder why it’s less common than eg black, brown or red?! Looks particularly lovely with the light trousers and shoes. Loving green / white / red combinations this December!
Delete@20:50 why be mean? Leave young people to grow without unnecessary and hurtful criticism
DeleteWell, he doesn’t have much of a chin…not his fault but it’s true.
DeleteBeautiful coats on the ladies. I am interested to know about the clutch that the girls are carrying.
ReplyDeleteMagnifique manteau de Prada au boutonnage original !
ReplyDeleteLove the teal color of Queen Mary's coat, this is a beautiful shade. Longer coat, I don't mind, it is obviously warm.
ReplyDeleteYes but not the colour of trousers and shoes understatement it
DeleteI think the shoes abs trousers are perfectly coordinated and the long coat deliciously warm over the top. Nothing to criticise in this beautiful family.
Paloma.
ReplyDeleteChristian looks like he stepped out of the 1930s or 1940s, he looks good. How cool is it that he likes vintage clothing! ~~Ruthie
ReplyDeleteI love it Ruthie, watching a young guy develop his style. Very suave!
DeleteLove the color of Mary’s coat.
ReplyDeleteWonder if the girls went to give mothers coats an outing? Everyone is looking good.

The only really elegant royal here is prince Vincent. The king looks too casual for a church service and the queen looks surprisingly uncoordinated as do her daughters. They are usually very good at presenting colour harmony etc., but this look is unfortunate and disappointing.

I agree.
DeleteI disagree! Who’s to say in Scandinavia what the dress code for church is and that the King is underdressed?! On the whole Scandinavia and their churches are far less formal than many countries - and what a KING wears sets the standard. He cannot be under or over dressed, he’s the king. Others can be relative to him! But here I find the family beautifully dressed, each one, with their own developing styles, which is fun and interesting to see.
DeleteVirginia, I’m Scandinavian and we don’t normally dress formally for church services. The King is wearing the kind of clothing any man here would wear to church./Grace

Delete"What the King wears sets the standard?"
Wow, in what century do you live ? I understand if a king wears a really awful outfit everybody has to love it because he is the king ?
I am happy I do not live in Denmark. I wouldn't wear what the queen or former queen is wearing. I doesn't want to wear what the queen in my country is wearing either, not that I do not like it, but it would not fit me.
Jesus wore sandals. Christine
DeleteTo me the best dressed are prince Vincent and princess Isabella. Prince Christian is again wearing 2 garments which are not coordinated well, just like the day before. He is wearing the jacket of his brown striped pant suit with thick velvet winter trousers. Queen Mary's light grey pants and shoes are not going well together with her winter coat, which suits her and is fiiting.
ReplyDeleteKing Frederik as usual not well dressed. I can't put my finger on it but there is always something wrong with his pants. It looks like his pants have a light cotton quality which people normally wear during their free time or on holidays during summer. Finally Princess Josephine is looking good, but I do not like coats with a broad skirt. This style is often worn by the British royals. I prefer straight coats.
Mary has a lot of hair!
ReplyDeleteReally???? That’s your comment?????
DeleteChristian's outfit is fine. I think it's a question of lighting. Some photos the outfit looks better. He is a young man, isn't he studying or receiving military training? Chris
